I held against my palm a photograph of you. I still have it after all these years. I wonder how you look like now, if you still smile the same smile that you wore on this picture. The same grin which used to melt my heart like butter. It's been sunch a long time since I last looked at your picture, long before I placed it enconsely inside this box tied witha ribbon on it... together with all the poems I wrote for you and the letters I never sent. Funny how I loved you so much but you never knew. You never knew how i would cower each time you would pass by afraid that the drum beat of my heart would be audible. You never knew how I would look out to the sky eachynight and enunciate my love for you unto the effulgent stars and nor the times I would steal glances of you from a far and the times I broke down and cried over you.

So for the last time I look at you as you stared right back at me from your photograph. Funny now as I recall, I noticed the pain has eluded by time. And as I look back on all those times, tears no longer fill my eyes nor no bitter after taste fills my heart. Rather, a smile curved on my lips. I replace your picture together with all the momentos of the past inside the box, tied the ribbon and placed it right where it had fallen from my top closet shelf. I realized after all these times that somehow still love you, but I also relaize that I'm no longer "in love with you". Yes, I still have the photograph of you, the one you thought you had lost.
