Yes, there is a great deal of beautiful stuff in the sky, but be aware that you will have to invest some money to obtain a telescope worth the effort ($1000+), you will have to learn how to look through one and observe, and realize that what you see in this program are time exposed photographic representations of celestial objects, not what you will see with the naked eye through the telescope.


Actual astronomical observation is a bit different from what you see here. Get yourself a telescope that's capable of astrophotography, and you can produce some pretty spectacular images...with practice!


I might suggest the Celestron Nextar SE in 6" or 8" apertures as a great scope to start with...$1000 to $1500, and you can do astrophotography with them...

While in the new Google Earth Press CTRL + ALT + A and it will open a hidden flight simulator built into google earth (not kidding)

there's a virtual telescope called the worldwide telescope made by microsoft, it's a bit like google earth but it's better
