i was wondering if there is a Bigfoot Like creature in Finland. I read on a site, wich was a list of hominids of the world. And on the list, it stood Finland, and the names Forrest Monster Wudewasa etc. All i wanna know is, any reports of them??

I live in Finland and just asked my girlfriend and she has never heard of any story of Finnish bigfoots of any foreset monsters.
I have heard of bigfoots in Russian forrests.

Well when were these reports of a Finnish Sasquatch? Because if they were a few hundred years ago, it is possible that Finland's hairy hominid simply migrated into the more uninhabited parts of Russia.

Oh, and btw, I have never heard of these reports, so sharing would be nice. original.gif

Well, i'm gonna post a description on the "creatures" and the names. so here it is.

Finland

Forrest Monster,
Tree Eater,
Wudewasa,
Se'ir

The Wudewas are hairy beings "somewhat lower than humans". The short-statured wudewasa wore no clothes, as they were covered with long, thick air. They had short hair on their heads and fringe beards under their chin. Their naked faces showed a prominent brow ridge, a large nose, full and wide mouth, and deep-set eyes. They had short legs and long arms, but their hands and feet were clearly hominid.

The Wudewusa are the classic "Forest Men" of European legend. Ever seen one of those illustrations of a man with a hairy face? That's it.

If you are looking for actual sightings, you might want to look for specific legends and stories regarding creatures like the the Wudewasa, trolls, the Green Man, etc. These stories may be old sightings of a Bigfoot-like creature, spun into legend and myth.

Here's a link about the Wudewasa as Bigfoot.

This link gives you the various names of what may Bigfoot-like creatures, not only from Finland, but Russia and Sweden.

At Cryptomundo, Loren Coleman talks about European wild-men. And maybe even Santa Claus has his origins in as a wild-man.

I can only mention some names like Yeren, Alma, Leshiye that fits the description of a bigfoot. Big chances is that they're some wildmen or man that lived long in the woods or maybe even surviving Neanderthals.
