In ancient Greek spere meant bullet. Here They have numerous stories and none of them can be verified. What is your take on the Spheres ? Do you have any suggestions that might be usefull to me ?

thank you magikman. It has helped alot . How does one actually get these things to work?
I have a rock from Crete that shows Atlas holding one of these spheres above his head.

I'm not sure I understand your question, Algis. What do you mean by 'How does one actually get these things to work?' Are you asking how they were made? If so, the explanation is in the article I posted

Isn't Atlas holding a representation of the earth? Having never physically seen it, how large approx. is the sphere he is holding?

Yes M, your article was great. I think too that they could be made in a variety of ways. I have heard a few stories. The sphere I found does have little glitters in it though.
I am sorry to have missed those rocks while in NZ but my eyes and hands only really became activated to rock while in Montreal and Crete these lasr few years.
