Here is a good question, I'll explain more after I get a few responses...

Has anyone ever had a Paranormal Experience and encountered where you think you see things more after your personal experience? Can Spirits give you the ability to become more open minded if you weren't before? I've heard of stories of people having near death experiences come back with gifts etc; Whether they are claraudient, clairvoyant etc; That's just an example.

What do you think?

Good theory, or maybe it could be also because once they come back, they are now even more aware and in some way connected to this other plane of existence then ever before.?

Personally I don’t think spirits of dead people can, but I believe in God, and I think that He can and often do it through an Angel.
I also think demons can give gifts - But those gifts ALWAYS come with a high price.

Some have said you need to be more open minded in the first place to see ghosts etc.

People have said they feel more "aware" after having their first significant paranormal experience.



Anything a demon gives you is just to pump you up for a greater fall later.

No, they don't give you the ability. Your consciousness just becomes more aware after an experience, you are able to comprehend a little more.

I completely agree with you on this one! Thats why God tells us to test the spirit, or you might be tricked into believing it,s all good when it most deffinitly is not!

I agree everything you already have is somewhat heightened. I also believe you have a greater knowledge of other dimensions

well, i frequently go to one park, it's near the river, in middle of city, looks a bit wild, trees growing wild and all... pretty nice place, mostly by night is populated by couples who seek little privacy, if you know what i mean. so once i went there, and said aloud "please, if anyone is listening, please give me more wisdom". it was, what, 6 months ago? i haven't really felt anything, seen, or heard, but i could say that i got more open minded, i guess i'm more tolerant of other people ideas and such, i 'm more observant, all in all, it seems that someone answered my plea. either that, or i'm just growing up

I don't believe a spirit can give you a gift like that. maybe they can help you to notice that you possess it. I just don't feel that anyone but God can give you a power like that. We probably all possess more ability than we realize. Just that some people know how to harness it better than others, and some may have more pronounced abilities. I feel that God gives you what he wants you to have so that you can fulfill your purpose in life.

In my personal opinion, I think the only time that it might be possible to be given a gift is if you croos over (near death experience) & come back. I believe it's possible to have that happen but the gift isn't given to you by the dead, it's given to you by a higher power. I know someone that has crossed over 2 times & I believe he has the ability to see spirits.

Well... a lot of you have some good solid points. Nobody really knows what is truly out there waiting for us. All we do know and aware there is something out there for sure because of the evidence that presents itself. I consider myself to be agnostic, but I do believe in god myself and that there are demons. I can't say 100%, but we have an EVP where a spirit states itself to be a demon. Could be a spirit playing around for all we know that thinks it's a demon. Who knows... But it's a cool EVP to say the least.

The reason I brought up this topic is because I had a recent personal paranormal experience I cannot explain. I am a very experienced investigator and never on any case I have been on have I ever felt this way before, and it appears that I have been able to sense more things after having this experience. I know some of you read my other threads where we investigated a sacred shrine where someone was buried. I had an overwhelming sense of negative energy although ( it was more of a sadness I think ) but in any hand, I felt very apprehensive. As if I was not welcomed where we were. I had a bloodstain on my ankle that freaked me out after having this experience too. I tried going back and looking for a logical explanation for the bloodstain. I could of brushed against some berries, or a dead carcass of an animal I did not see in the brush. If that was the case how come nobody else got it? You would think if it was a dead animal we would of smelled it or seen flies. They followed the same path and direction I traveled in. I'm not trying to convince myself it was other wise. But I can't think of anything else it could of been. I do consider myself to be a sensitive, but I have not been able to control it like some can.

Mind you, this was no ordinary bloodstain. It was a huge patch of blood and it was dripping everywhere. I looked for a wound, a cut, anything that could of caused it. But I found nothing. There have been cases of stigmata. Is it possible for a spirit to cause their own kind of stigmata? I think it's a great question after having this experience. Ever since my experience with this, I haven't been the same. I have been more negative, depressed, and just off my game. I've also have seen some strange things with my eyes that I know was paranormal. I know my home is active because I have had spirits follow me home from places I have been to. I know this because I have done my own investigating here and gotten many responses. I know I have always had a gift, but I believe I have harnessed more now ever since this experience. I have no other explanation for it. I feel much better now a days, but it's not completely gone.

Is it psychological? Definitely could be... but I also feel that spirits, demons, or any entity that do exist have a lot more energy, power, and intelligence than we think they have...

WOW Pluto. So, are you feeling any better lately? Maybe some sort of residual negativity is what made you become depressed. Acknowledge YOUR OWN emotions and separate that depression; do not claim it as yours.

Yes, I have been feeling better these days. That is because I have spent less time focusing on it. I've been on vacation the past week or so. I needed time off too to catch up on some sleep. We've had a lot of investigations in the past year or so. It's nice getting a break from it once in a while. It does catch up to you sooner or later working all those late hours, forcing yourself to stay awake etc;

What is good is I have that part of the shrine investigation documented. During and after the event.

It's creepy knowing that if "Spirit Stigmata" can occur, then they have a lot more energy and powers than paranormal investigators originally thought. I am not speaking for everyone here of course. If that is what you even call it. Maybe they already have a term out there.

I like sharing my experiences to see if anyone is experiencing the same things. It's good talking to people on the same level or on the same page in this field.

am i the only one who sees spirit as sometimes benevolent?

Not all spirits are negative or evil. I think there are different types of spirits. I have had a few experiences in my childhood that could prove that there are positive spirits or that guardian angels do exist. People most of the time misread them because they don't understand an experience or they are afraid. Fear is a natural feeling for a human to have when you experience something you've never experienced before. When a human being experiences fear, automatically you think it is negative or evil because that is how we are trained to deal with fear. Most people treat the feeling of fear as something negative. Most people... not everyone pertains to it.

Spirits don't normally follow a person home but if you're in a location that you might feel like something could, before leaving the location, you should state with a firm voice that they have to remain there & cannot follow you home. It's very rare that that happens.
