i was talking tomy friend last night and we got talking about ghosts and he said that he did not belive that they are real and then i fired back with a theroy that made him think about it what if sprits and ghosts and demons are real but they are in a differnt dimision and only when these two dimion's merg thatwe are able to she them and they are able to do stuff in our wrold because even in a haunted house they do not haunt them 24 seven right what do you think. plese be honest i can take it.

I've often thought that ghosts, etc. are some kind of life form that "lives" ("living" may not be the right word) in a dimension parallel to our own. Under the right conditions our dimension and theirs overlap or intersect or are just close enough that for a very brief time we can see them and they can see us.

Some spiritualists have said that when we die our soul/spirit moves to another plane of existance. Maybe that's what they mean?

Which then begs the question: Is that dimension/plane only inhabited by the souls/spirits of former humans? Are there any indiginous life forms there? (inhuman entities?) Perhaps the indiginous life forms are what we call demons?

And going further, if there is life on other worlds do they go to the same place as we?

why dont you try to establish ghosts as a fact before you speculate on their origin.

I and others have brought this topic to the table a few times ... it's a good one too. A lot of people, especially thoes who believe in alternate realities and parallel dimensions believe that this is a possibility. Sometimes when the Frequencies have a dip or a surge, causing an overlap, you get to see another "dimension" playing out. Weird and fun to think about .... But my main point is that if you look for the posts on the previous threads, you'll find a lot of info.

If it is true about the different dimensions, would all sightings be considered accidental, because I don't think that is the case. I think there are some on the other side that can be seen when they want to, so maybe there is more than just accidental overlapping going on. How would that fit into the theory?

This isn't a new idea... its like the basis for every movie about ghosts..

Funny thing I was going to post a simular thread. About how I have related many ghost stories, because I was raised to beleive in them, and my family has experienced alot of sightings. But my religion does not believe in such things, It beleives these are manifestations of the devil trying to fool people into beleiving such things exist. It aslo beleives that once you die you are at rest, until the Lord comes back. So seeing as there is a conflict there, I ahve wondered. Is it a repeat of an event that has occured and has left an imprint on what we perseive to be our present? Is it a different dimension as suggested here interacting with our dimension? Is it Satan playing with our minds? Or are the dead indead trying to contact us from beyond? I beleive that there are cases of possesion, that indeed Satan is trying to fool us into believing what is not true. But I also beleive that maybe there is another dimension, another reality perhaps, or it is fun to wonder. Or possibly history playing again like a recording.

That's the basic thought with demonologist (not silly Ed Warren type). These things are beings come from different dimensions, they might be as freaked out about seeing each other as we are of them.

The Celts believed that when one died here, you were reborn in another world. When you died there, you were reborn here.
