Hey all. First post here. The title of the forum made me curious. To be honest I have found a lot of stuff here to be pretty flaky, but there is interesting stuff too.
Years ago I had an unexplainable experience. This is just one of several. Its the easiest to explain.
I had a dream where I was walking through a large park along dirt paths. I came to a corner where there was a small building, like an electricity sub station or something, surrounded by a barbed wire fence. I walked through the gate and went down through some large grates and inside there was a submarine computer game so I played that for a while. I lef thte building and continued up along the path, where there was a large open area and two aquaducts going overhead. There was a small boat floating over land with a bear at the wheel, and my at-the-time girlfriends younger sister was in the passenger seat. I remember telling my girlfriend about this dream because her sister was in it, and she was interested in tarot cards and dreams and whatnot.
About three months later I bought a mountain bike and I was riding in an area not so far from where I lived, maybe an hour bike ride, but I had never been to that area before. My friend and I rode our bikes through a park to the end, and turned back around. As we were returning, I stopped dead and knew where I was because I recognised the texture of the dirt. I recognised the paving stones at the side of the path, the trees and their density, and I knew that the building behind me in the corner was the buildnig I saw in my dream before I had even turned around to examine it. Up at the end where we had turned around there were two large aquaducts. Every detail was the same except that the grates in my dream were a different shape. In the dream they were round, and the actual grates were square, or perhaps the other way around, I cant quite remember.
This seemed to just be, in and of itself, a rather strange isolated experience. I had one other dreaming experience which is more complicated and I wont go into it here, but that experience completely changed my life, and twelve years later I still think of it as day one, the beginning, and its the single most important reference point for the way I live today. Maybe the first experience I mentioned above was just to open me up to something else. Ive also had a few other experiences that were very odd, but not for some years now.
