user posted image rClark C. McClelland: Prior to the fateful launch of the space shuttle Challenger on January 28, 1986, I had the honour and pleasure of sharing conversations with several members of that crew. During one of many pre-mission preps for the Challenger mission, I came upon Lt. Col. Ellison Onizuka in the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) at launch complex 39. I had an assignment to assess some problems at the Launch Control Center (LCC) and needed to access the main drawing files. A file operator was there and I went to her for assistance. Ellison walked in on our conversation and we exchanged greetings. Jokingly, I asked him if he had important business with her, and he said "yes, Clark" with a big smile. I told her to help Lt. Colonel Ellison first, and I would wait. She opened a plastic bag that had a packet of goodies for this very important customer. Ellison "loved" those chocolate-peanut butter brownies that she baked for him when he was at Kennedy Space Center (KSC) on training assignments.

Many astronauts at the KSC knew of my interest in the study of possible Extraterrestrial (ET) intelligence, and my association with Major Donald Keyhoe, Dick Hall and the National Investigations Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP since 1958), and the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON), at Cape Canaveral and KSC. Another evening while off-site, I once again accidentally came upon Ellison. He asked if I could give him an opinion regarding a topic that was sparking his curiosity. Ellison had a great interest in ET life and asked me my belief concerning aliens, and if I believed they have been here on earth? His question caught me by surprise.

So this guy was shown a movie which contained aliens, not being sure exactly why he was shown. Nothing is mentioned about whether the aliens were real or not, not even conjecture. So what was the point of this long and drawn out article? I've watched movies with aliens in them as well.

It would appear to mainly be a tribute to Judy Resnik, Ellison Onizuka, Christa McAuliffe, Dick Scobee, Michael Smith, Gregory Jarvis and Ronald McNair who all perished in the Challenger disaster. While also highlighting the possibility that pilots were given this test to guage how they may react to a real-life alien encounters if they became astronuants.

their fate were already sealed when they were shown the video of the aliens.. the nasa realized they've made a mistake by showing them the video, fearing the info may leak, so they had to smuff them all out.. all of them who had seen the film were assigned onto the discovery shuttle and had to die. the school teacher was a necessary sacrifice. the government can afford to make a new shuttle but cannot afford to cause them to lose credential and create anarchy in the nation.

^The film was shown to a number of pilots eight or nine years ago, the rest of the crew on the Challenger shuttle had not seen the film or had any knowledge of it. I would advise reading the entire article . thumbsup.gif

Sorry Cyrus, but that is plain nonsensical. There is a huge investment in Astronaut training and building a Shuttle, it would be much easier for NASA to deny showing the video, or that it was used for Psych testing purposes. No need to waste a crew and shuttle that virtually derails the whole project and shows up NASA's claim of only recruiting "the best of the best" for the self aggrandisement and hyperbole that it is.

interesting, but it seems like a test for their reaction

Seems to me McClelland is starved for a little attention. Why wait 21 years to reveal this story???
