BERLIN (Reuters) - A German man said Thursday he feared he may have built his own tomb after a vehicle ploughed into his house for the 10th time.
"If we stay, someone's eventually going to kill us. We're living in a time bomb," Manfred Sedlazek, 59, told Reuters.
Sedlazek is reluctant to leave the house he built himself, which is on a bend of a busy road, but said it may be his only chance of survival.
Earlier this week, a 40-tonne truck blasted through the side of the red-brick house in the village of Karlshoefen, in northern Germany. Sedlazek returned home from shopping to find the shattered vehicle sticking out of his living room.
Police estimated the damage at more than 100,000 euros ($136,100).
Nine previous smashes into the two-storey building Sedlazek shares with his wife have wrecked his kitchen, bedroom and garden, causing damage worth tens of thousands of euros.

Maybe he needs to put up a special wall in front of the area? I've known 2 people who have done this due to wrecks. I can give some detail on one of the wrecks and gross you out a little if you like...otherwise, don't read past this...
One was a couple living on a corner house in the city of Sacramento. A motorcycle took the corner way too fast and the driver ended up smashing against thier house. ( brick and stucco) He was alive after the impact, but died on the scene minutes later due to blood loss and head trauma. The neighbors, my inlaws, were witness to the event after the impact and the youngest son (12 at the time), said he saw a cloudy greyish mist rise from the "body" and ascend to the sky. ( insert shiver here! ) After all was cleared and cleaned up, the grass where all the blood spilled grew greener and thicker than the rest of the lawn. The lawn stayed like that for months. A terrible reminder to say the least! I personally saw the lawn and can attest to the fact it was different than the rest of the lawn.
