all that really needs to be said is that its fully of drugs, paedos and deformed animals...

this is the Wikipedia Myths & Legends part.

There are a number of notable myths and legends associated with the Burgies. One is that Purple Aki lived on the Burgies and that he would capture little children that ventured on to his land and carve his initials on to their backsides. There are also stories of strange creatures that live on the Burgies such as the "Burgydactyl", a large flying creature with a piercing call and the "Burgadilo" , a small two legged creature that runs through the trees, eats magic mushrooms and excretes Smarties. It is thought, although not proven, that this may be related to the wild "Ironlung". Other theories exist about the actual existence of other 'Burgie Beasts'. Deformed animals and insects that appear to have been adversely affected by the chemical waste that exists within the surrounding Chain lane area.

the Burgadilo is my fave grin2.gif

ive actually been there, the photo on the Wikipedia page is mine.
there is a few tents (Purple Aki?), lots of mushrooms and people dissapear up there...for 2 reasons...the Burgies just make holes that you can fall down and never get up.

no, it just absorbs you...its made of St Helen's old waste, and we used to be a mining town. my dad says its full of cat crap...

what they did was make a large wooden frame and fill it with rubbish...but the rubbish has been turned into goo, which will suddenly rise under the grass, make a small hole, and when you stand on it...gloop! your gone. im surprised it didnt happen to me.
