I live near San Francisco, and I know that between places the likes of Alcatraz and history like the Great Quake, it's bound to have some restless spirits.

Does anyone here know of any good resources about California's Bay Area hauntings, legends and such? I've searched far and low and can only find bits and pieces. *Hugs my Weird California book*

Any personal experiences?

One story that really creeps me out is of the Bay Bridge ghost(s).

Drivers on the lower deck (leading out of the city) have heard knocking on the car windows and there have been reports of people seeing a headless man running alongside cars at high speed. The lower deck is scary at night anyway, it's bathed in bright orange light and it seem foreboding.

What about the 1906 Earthquake.

Here is a link to that story. http://clcpress.com/earthquake.htm

It would surprise me if an event like this did not leave a great deal of disturbing energy in that area.

Yes, I mentioned that. Thanks for the link! Not many know that it wasn't the Quake itself that did most of the damage but the fires afterward that destroyed whole city blocks.
When people in the city dismiss strange happenings because the apartment is new, it could very well be the land itself.
