These are my love poems (yes because believe it or not these were actually written for someone very close to me, and yes believe it or not even though I'm a guy I can still be emotional)

These are personal so therefore I keep names in them anonymous and for artistic reasons.

(Don't laugh....constructive criticism is always best)

Actually I've decided to show just one, maybe I'll put on more if I feel up to it.

That one day a tear, a drop of blood
met your lifeless eye, that one drip
hit my heart like a dreaded flood
That face never left, never left my mind
Why'd you go, angel?

The angel flew away
Her heart is free
She sailed the wind, rode the waves
My callous heart, ignorant to death
The heart is treacherous, once said
The angel cried, I begged to die
Her eyes so clear, why not mine?

Sun, why yet do you shine on me still?
Sun, being silent, sent the angel...
She glides down, my heart melts
Her lips a paradise of fire
Peace envelops my world

I simply won't comprehend
Why Fate chose me, Sun gave me his angel...
Do I deserve? Done what deed have I?
I simply loved, I simply desired
I would serve 'till death and the end

The Sun gazed so far down on its Earth
And then he laughed, for only he, and his angel, knew

WOW! That was EXCELLENT. My favorite part is:

The angel flew away
Her heart is free
She sailed the wind, rode the waves
My callous heart, ignorant to death
The heart is treacherous, once said
The angel cried, I begged to die
Her eyes so clear, why not mine?

So beautiful. Thank you for sharing original.gif Jody

You're biggest triumph with this piece, was you made it personal. And you delivered the personality. This piece is somehow beautiful even though sad, in someway I can actually see angels and sun beams and yearning for the joy they would bring you...the love you feel must be crushing to be so dreadful with words of such creatures. Lovely verse I liked it much original.gif

I really love this poem! So beautifull, though filled with aching sadness. There are a couple people i have known that i,m reminded of in two different ways, it,s as if you have told two sad stories in this poem. I,m really very impressed and admire your work, you have a great gift! Thank you for sharing something so obviously dear to you! yes.gif thumbsup.gif

For someone who's just starting out in the world of poetry, you've certainly got a lot of talent!

Bravo!

Personal is the best, it's raw like singing the blues on a old guitar..
