Drammen, Norway - A pirate harbor, thought to be one of the oldest and most advanced in all of Norway, was found in the southern town of Bamble this week.
While numerous other pirate harbors have previously been found along Norway's southern coast, the recent discovery in the county of Telemark represents a rare and intriguing find.
This is the oldest with an underwater wooden barricade to prevent alien ships (entering) the harbor.
"This is the nicest harbor along the coast of Telemark," said a local historian.
Historians have tentatively dated the pirate harbor to the 18th century, when Denmark was allied with Norway.
