Hi, Im new, and I just needed some opinions about something.

Me and my freind Joe were walking around in the woods behind his house. (pretty deep in the woods,) and we heard some kind of mumbling and what sounde like a little boy who was being muted with a hand, like something had his mouth covered and he was trying to scream. So we were freaked.... and then we kept going down into the woods, and we came across a rock, it had some kind of black/dark red liquid on it, so I knelt down and put my finger in it and smelled it. It had no smell. So, we kept on going until we heard some footsteps. Joe was in front of me and I was shortly behind him. We both knelt down so not to be seen and we heard three noices. One to the right, one in front, and one in the left/front. So we were knelt down. We just sat there and watched. Whatever it was there, there was obviously three of them. So we sat and they started getting louder and started moving more. But we couldn't see anything. I (being the brave man that I am.) Turned around and ran for a few yards. Joe followed and I came to a fallen down tree. I hopped up onto it and I heard a deep, low, growl. Only it didn't sound like a bear growl. It wasn't like anything I've ever heard. It was about 5 seconds long, just a countinueous growl. We turned around and ran home. Please, tell me what you think. I hope it was more than just an animal. But I don't think it was. Please get back to me. Thank you

I hope there haven't been any disapearances of children in your area and if there was did you report what you saw?

I live in hilllbilly country Mtn.Home Arkansas and we have had a couple recent missing children but we did not report it. I guess we were thinking that it might have just been our imaginataion.

Well maybe you should it could be linked. otherworldy or not children are missing. Its possible they were people ie abducters.

Possibly, but the screams weren't coming from a certain place, it seemed like from all around us but it was one single scream, and moan. So we just thought that it might have been our imaginations.But maybe we should.

But what do you think the growl was? Joe and I have seen alot of weired things in those woods. There's just something about them. And that growl, it was just something that I can't really explain. It was like....I dont know. Not human and not animal.

I've been thinking about all those missing children that have their names and photos on those cards that come in the mail several times each week. I admit some of my thoughts may seem absurd, but as there are so many missing, I wonder if some of them are kidnapped for genetic experiments, organ farming, human cloning experiments, or other strange purposes. Perhaps not all kidnappers are the angry divorcee or the freaky uncle or the ransom-seeking money grubber or the rapist that lives down the street. Perhaps there are factions of our own government abducting people and then covering the events.

I really think and I hope you will report this, however weird it may sound to the Police. If your first thought was that it sounded like a child than it maybe was.

Yeah lottie ive been trying to get him to report it. I mean even if there is a chance it could help. Nothing worse in this world than a child being abducted an theres nothing better than saving a child

I called the police and they just went out there and looked around out in the woods and didn't find anything, I showed them the rock where I saw the liquid that might have been blood, and it was gone. They just sat me down and gave me this speech about prank calls. After wards I went back to that log.....I looked around on it and found nothing...no sounds anymore. I have no clue what that was but It still creeps me out when I look at those woods and when I think about it.

And about the kidnapping thing, I personally beleive in aleins, maybe it was them. I dont know, maybe...

About the tree and duck. I'm guessing that you only found the half of the tree that was still in the ground and only a duck with no head? Were there any trees around it that were chopped up or damaged? ...Are you sure no one cut it down because it could be a hazard to something and the duck just got in the way of someone with a bad temper? Just trying to rule out some things, you know...

Well, none of the other tree's were really chopped up, but the leafs were black and the ground was dry. It was last summer, and the tree couldn't have been cut down because it was a hazard or else they would have cut the entire thing down. The tree was still in the ground when i saw it. I dont know man.

Pretty freaky... I really don't know what it could be. Just don't go camping in the woods. Could turn out to be something like the Blair witch...just more...real...

Well, I really don't know what to tell you about how to figure out what is out there. Maybe you could get someone who can sense spirits and whatnot to go out there with you some time. See if they pick up on anything.

hahaha...I'm not planning on going camping anytime soon. I am workin on getting someone out there but I am not sure if he is real or just show.

I find it hard to believe that the police gave you a telling off. Didn't they search the area or anything?

What you describe about the duck and stuff is a bit odd. Sounds like there maybe some kind of occult activity going on. In England there are various sites around where it is well known that Occult groups carry out their weirdness.

The police did search the place, but came up clear, they didn't find anything.

Frantic- I live nearby Mtn. Home and know a guy from the Army there and have had a few girlfriends from there. I was wondering if you could show me sometime where this happened so I could do some of my own investigating? Dude, I would really like to check things out for myself!

Animals make weird sounds. A growl could be any number of things, Possums, Racoons, badgers, perhaps a wolf, even a Beaver if you have them in your area. I saw some toads once that even made a noise that sounded a lot like a growl late at night.

Just because you didn't see any signs of an animal dosen't mean there aren't any. I'm by no means an expert tracker, but I've been camping enough to learn to read signs. Small animals are going to leave even less signs, usually you track them by paths they take through under brush that have been tramped down. Unless the area is muddy you're not going to get reconizable foot prints, and the odds are that anything like bent grass blades and broken sticks are too small to notice. You're not going to find any spoor as most animals tend to leave it somewhere else to help mark their territory. Even animals that are not territorial tend to leave it some distance from their dens.

As for the mutilated duck - see above. You probally interupted sombodies dinner, they growled at you, and when you didn't leave immediatly, they did leaving the remains behind.

If you really want to know what it was, I'd suggest finding someone who is familiar with the area's animal population and ask them. A forest ranger or someone from Fish and Wildlife would be your best bet.

You said you lived in a swampy area. according to eyewitness statisics that is the area big foot like creatures live. Also these sightings seem similar to other rural area big foot(sasquatch) sightings.

The area isn't swampy but I don't live there. From my experiences going there it's not. Just lakes and forests.

so ya checked it out? anyway I think thats pretty freaky..I had to turn on the light to read it all. Got a little scared lol. I just get all scared when I think of forests because when I was like 7 years old at my friends house were in his backyard (surrounded by woods) and we started hearing really freaking things...well just saying. But I forget what its called "chuci..." whatever..but its some undiscovered species roaming the areas..theres been reports in new york of it. Maybe the growl was that!

Hey frantic, if you want a pausible (albeit not very helpful) explanation for the growling you heard, see my post about the hunting trip on this board. As for the red liquid, you would know if it was blood. Freshly spilt blood has a very distinguishable odor, sort of coppery, like a jar of pennies. Older, drying blood just smells foul, like roadkill, especially if it sits in the sun for a while. But you have to get really close to smell it.

As for the voices, it very well may have been the missing kids... which means you guys were smart to run away. I couldn't tell you anything about a bisected, decapitated duck, lol. It must have pissed someone off

Anyway, one thing you have to rememeber about the woods is that when you are out there, listen. Not just with your ears, but with your instincts. If you start feeling cold, or prickly like, and the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, MOVE. Preferrably back the way you came. While the greater majority of the woods are good places, there are some places that are dark. Just stay out of them. Especially if some old-timer tells you to.
