Feel free to write your own- it's fun to see what people come up with without the options of edits and rewrites!
On another note, I often write very metaphorically. So don't worry if you can't understand my poetry at all. Some days it is worse than others, though.

Fallen heart within
writing in the stone
etching the tears deeply

Scratches grow to runes
glowing magic
haunting emotion
empathic flair

Gathering spirits
taking the qualms
living the loss
Feeling the despair
the longing for more

Spread my wings
escape this fate
lose the chains

Leaden weights crush
yet the escape proceeds

Rush of wind
strains the steel
the sturdy link holds
fractures so tiny

The guillotine ahead
one path forced
many chosen

Rising souls
evade supposed destiny
Losing track
time everlasting

Claws emerge
Spirit rises
attacks so fierce
cords binding

Searing tightness
finally crushed
wind beneath me
soaring free
destiny demolished

this felt wistful, yet heavy and like a fast breathing spiritual fable of mass porportions!!!

Thanks. This is basically how I let everything negative out before I go berserk on my friends and family. I have friends in person... but those I do have would be lost if I did that. It's either this or draw. When I wrote this, I was basically visualizing an imprisoned angel of sorts. This might clarify the poem a bit...
