I voted for both, cos some rap/hip-hop is really good. Like De La Soul and Fatlip. But I guess if I had to have a favourite, I'd go with rock, Therapy? the eels, that sort of thing.

I like rap and not rock(it sux IMO thats for all of u who said rap sux). My fav rappers r LiL JOn, lil Flip, Emineim, j kwon, 50 cent, p pablo(wat eva his name is), and luda.

I am open to a lot of different music, but for this survey I picked other and only because I like them both. Any type of music that can fit my mood is what I am into. I do not let it set it for me.

well as to rock I like Stuff like Pink Floyd AC/DC Iron Maiden Megadeath Metallica etc. I also like Korn and few of the newer bands but most of them really suck or sound like they are trying to rip off Korn. Rap ,the closest thing I like is ICP I can't stand Ganstsa (k)rap or Feminem etc.

I like it because I can dance to it, and because some of the stuff DOES have meaning. Also, the majority of rappers just amuse me (like Snoop). I'm not saying that the commercial rappers all have so much meaning to their lyrics or whatever, but you know.

I listen to a little bit, but only if the group's trying to convey a message and isn't using a ton of cursing to do it. But I won't go out of my way to listen mind you.

all the people who live here that listen to rap are also the ones that have no future, they are the "popular" ones in highshcool that you see taking orders at MCdonalds after highschool. the ones that spend thousands of dollars making their car loud and fast, but if they knock a girl up (which i hate to say happens A LOT) they use their loud fast car to get as far from the girl as they can.
im not saying thats what all people who like rap are like, but all the ones ive seen in hawaii.

Man, what's with so many people hating rap? Rap (not all of it though)speaks to issues of life in harder areas. Maybe that's why I like it better than rock. It's very cultural I guess, becasue rock does not speak to me about issues in my life, but it's still an awesome gnere, and I love rock.

Well I like both, Rap: Wu Tan (ever since samurai showdown), Del the Automator, Anticon ,Them etc. In Rock: Gun n' Roses, Queen(w/ Mercury), At the drive in, Molotov etc.

I think I like all types of music, exept pop and things with crappy lyrics.

I like rap, listen to it a lot(but not this month, holiday songs this month).
