I prefer rock. Though that is just my opinion. Everyone has their own.

I'm sorry to all rap fans, but I just can't stand most of it. I think Outkast is okay actually, but I wouldn't go out of my way to listen to them. I chose rock.

Yup,im a rock man myself,despise any form of Rap.It annoys the living daylights out of me.

I write rock and rap music so I went with both. Obviously.

When I was younger I used to be right into anything metal but as the years have passed I have lost a lot of the anger that was in me and like to listen to music that has warmth and feeling.
As far as Rap goes...I could never get into it. I mean...listening to someone rave on and on about how great they 'THINK' they are just doesn't do it for me.
That's just my opinion though

I chose rock, but outkast is okay if its on the radio i will listen to it, i also like pop music,i dont like rap mostly though.

Most music is great in it's own way but I certainly wouldn't call rap 'music'. Anyone can make up rhymes and sample others music to make up your own beats. It's really pretty pathetic. Sorry!

Although i don't mind rap occassionally it has to be rock.

Evanescence does kick ass, and I love Staind .... and many others. Rock over rap any day. How many songs can you write about ho's and getting trashed? While I do like SOME rap (used to love it), it's just not that great at all and it's beginning to all sound the same.

I love metal. Death metal. I like from the hardest of hard to...well...pretty soft. Probably I'd say slayer But I would choose metal over anything. And as for rap, well, some is ok, must most of it annoys me.

I love rock.....but some rap isn't so bad, especially when it actually has a message to convey, but some of it says a whole lot of nothin'.....I like it too....but I prefer the stuff that's by people that actually have something to say, not that I'm sayin' rockers don't have anyting to say, it's just that I've found that people who have something to say use rap more than rock and for some reason rap seems more fitting....although it would be interesting to hear a metal remix of Si Señor....ah yes I can see it now....Control Machete goes metal....but like I said rock is cool too, I can relate to what they have to say too...

I'm not even allowed to listen to much rap. My dad says if i buy a rap cd and bring it home, he will use it as an expensive clay pidgeon, for skeet shooting.

I chose rock... very little rap for me (pretty much ONLY tupac). This poll goes to show that rock beats the hell outa rap (thats my personal opinion!)

Mental Patient, i like Bizz too...and the whole BTNH crew! Tracks like Down 71, Hell Sent...this sh** is for me. Other rappers i like...hmm, Brotha Lynch Hung, ODB...and i hate 50 cent, eminem, snoop, and all these commercial rappers.

I am not a big rap fan. though I like all music. If it has a good beat ya I'll listen to it. It is also important that the lyrics says something.

Personally I like Eminem's music. Yes it is violent but some songs I can relate to!

All opinion is subjective, it is surely impossible to state that one form is categorically better than the other.
Having said that, I find it hard not to agree with the people who think rap is, well, a bit sh**. But you can't deny that it sells and sells.
Of course the best alternative rock can be found at www.zeptepi.info, but that could just be a cheap plug for my band...

the reason rap is losing so badly is that its too narrow of a category. rock encompasses heavy metal rock, acid rock, goth rock, classic rock, soft rock, southern rock, rock-abilly, and some pop rock. rap is just, well, rap.

Eminems cool..But my favorite of all time was 2Pac. I haven't heard any Rapper come out recently that has half the talent he did.
