I have been picking up radio signals in my head, or at least i think i have,

for the past few weeks every time i wake up there is a different song stuck in my head, usually its some lyrics and music much like a chorus of the song, its a different song each time and sometimes its not a song at all, sometimes its a catchy jingle of a commercial or a slogan, sometimes its a word or a name, the one time it was somebody called Eva Snow, But Most of the time its just a song,

the first thing i can remember waking up with is the song, Brown Eyed girl, which is weird because i don't ever remember the song before, and this morning i woke up with the song door to my heart and i could almost cite verses, i think it maybe getting worse,

so to recap it, i've been waking up in the mornings with songs in my head, sometimes its songs i've never heard (which rules out that my brain is just recalling them from the previous day), and i guess i have braces (if that has any connection)

any thoughts would be helpful, i think tonight i might tune into a radio station that comes in crystal clear, and when i wake up turn it on to see if it matches!
DEATH-NOTE
I heard an episode of MythBusters had a topic of your case, and I think it had something to do with "braces or tooth filling" and do you live beside a radio station?

The episode is in Seaon 01, Episode 04.

Im confused, a piece of metal in the mouth can make a human radio?

Peace.

i experienced the same thing for months when i used to work nights. it became really annoying actually. i was starting to think my head was a radio receiver.
then one night, i looked under the desk and there was a radio which had been left on by the man on the day shift so it was barely audible.
a mysteriy explained. don't know if that's what is happening with you though. original.gif

Well they do say that the human skeleton makes a good radio antenna, which is why if your moving around near a radio the quality of the reception keeps changing....

Not sure how a peice of metal in your mouth would turn those radio waves into music. unless other parts of your body make effective valves or transistors and all the rest of the things u need in a radio. Even then you wouldnt be a particularly good radio.

Do you sleep with a TV on or radio on? You might just be listening to things in your sleep and they are stuck in your head when you wake up, used to happen to me.

my sister says she leaves her radio on sometimes and that's what i'm listening to, but every night she does i can't sleep until she turns it off, for some reason tvs and radios emit a really hi-frequency siren that i can hear yards away that also keep me from falling a sleep, so i ruled out that

and to be honest my house doesn't get good radio signals, because i live in the mountains, u usually only get one or two good signals, and this never happens when i sleep in the city or near a flat area, only when i'm in my room, so i think if i am picking up a radio signal its only a ceratin one that i can hear because there is only one or two that i get in my room, or maybe it could be xm wacko.gif

well whatever, i'll just ask my doctor the next time i see him,

and i saw that mythbusters, it was a good one! it had to deal with luciel Ball from i love lucy, she said it happened to her while she was flying a plan, and a lot of dentist says its possible, so i guess if i am picking up a wave, it has to be a very specific frequency, and others will block it! but i wonder why its only when i'm sleeping?

perhaps because when you are asleep, you and things arround you are quiet?

Another one I mentioned a few times:
My cable modem actually picked up cable TV, and you could hear it physically coming out of the modem, very faintly. Thought I was going nuts for a few days too. This occurred even if all TV's in the house were off.
