I feed my kitties canned food twice a day, and dry food is down for them all the time. My baby still dances and acts like she is starving everytime I open a can.
I know exactly what you mean, i had a cat that no matter how full he was if he heard the can opener or saw you head to the fridge, he acted like he hadn,t eaten in a month! Even if his tummy was full to bursting he would try and eat more, a real glutton!
But i also had another cat "Mac " who would round up every stray and bring them home for dinner! Where i lived we had a big front room window and just before dinner time you could watch him wandering up and down this hill that had at least 6 blocks of houses and ally ways. Mac would go in one ally alone and come out with 2 or 3 cats following him, and the same thing would happen at every ally he came to! By the time he got home there were often 10 or more cats with him, and i used to put his food on the back porch where he would sit and refuse to eat till every other cat that had come with him had their fill first! He was what i used to call my missionary cat! I suspected not all the cats he brought home every dinner hour were homeless, but that didn,t matter to Mac! If he brought a dinner guest home he would not eat till they all had! Very weird, i,ve never had another cat that did this! Thank God or it would have gotten too expensive! But at the time where i worked at a pet store, the owner of the store knew Mac did this and would give me big bags of free food to take home cause he thought it was so endearing of Mac and wanted to help! Lucky me!
