It happened about ten years ago when I was on holiday with my boyfriend at that time, he also witnessed the craft and we saw exactly the same thing. We were sat on a very secluded beach on the Island of Ibiza, a place in which many UFO sightings apparently have been made. The craft we saw started its appearence in the form of a small golden light. This seemed to convert from USO to UFO. It raised itself from the sea and slowly started to rise into the air. We saw it because we were looking out to sea and it came up straight infront of where we sat maybe 1.5 KM away from us, if not less.
It rose up into the air and when it was a couple of KM in the air it stopped and floated there motionless for about a minute.
Suddenly the next thing we knew it went from naught to light speed in less than a second, shot off into space and left a four tailed stain in the sky of blue and red streaks, which seemed to be pure energy of somekind. This quickly disappeared like lightning does. It was one of the most amazing thing I had ever seen and both he and I agreed that it could be only one thing.
Has anybody else seen anything similar or had an experience in which no crackpot theory would change your mind about seeing a UFO? Peace

Thanx for the support Bogeyman! The thread was very enlightening to read. It is amazing how people are so skepticle about these things. That is until they actually see one. The amount of fear mongering plus the energy and money that goes into keeping these truths from out of the public eye is quite immense I imagine. I really believe that these things happen in their thousand every year. If not more.
What I spoke of before is not the only sighting I have ever made. There have been others. However, this one was by far the prettiest.

Okay, here is a reply from a skeptic. But I'm not being skeptical about your sighting, it sounds like a wonderful experience and I've had mine. What I'm going to comment about and not from a skeptical POV is your comment: "The amount of fear mongering plus the energy and money that goes into keeping these truths from out of the public eye ... " I don't agree with it because I have not seen this expressed in reality. Let's not talk about governments keeping info from the public because there's more to it than a simple statement. You know that UFO reports are constantly being shown on the news channels. Not the mundane, everyday kind but those that have a little meat to them especially if videos or photos are included. The newspapers also report unusual sightings. UFO reports are found by the millions on the web. So, no one is actively keeping "these truths" from the public eye.
