I was wondering if any one can identify what this is?

I haven't a clue.... it's a bit hard to tell. I wish there were more pics of it or if he had taken a video of this..

I can't say! But, I am reminded of a sighting that happened in Arizona when a news crew was reporting the weather when a similar object shot passed the camera several years ago.

There were those who had said the UFO in that sighting was nothing more than wind-blown debris, but that didn't hold water because it was later determined the wind was blowing in the opposite direction.

That's the problem with reported UFOs pictures like this one, it could easily be a weather balloon with the sun shinning on it. Weather ballons are not uncommon during an electrical storm. A video would have been nice for sure. Even a close up shot would be better.

edit: I am not saying it is a weather balloon, I'm just saying it could be one.

It could be an anything, a shiny helium balloon you get at your local grocery store. There is no object near it to get a frame of reference as to the size of the object. I don't think you can tell anything from this picture other than its an object you cannot identify.
