The photo containing the almost-perfect hexagonal crater is AS15-0293 and can be seen on page 107 of APOLLO OVER THE MOON: A VIEW FROM ORBIT, NASA SP-362. The crater is located on the sourthern edge of Crater Gagarin's rim. There are other photos of similar shaped craters in other photos.

Try uploading them to ImageShack, then you can post the links to the images from there. thumbsup.gif

I'm not computer savvy so I don't know what BB code is or how to use it. I appreciate the imageshack suggestion but I've already upoloaded at least 2 photos so I don't know why I'm having trouble. I do all the steps and see the little circle rotate telling me the photo is being uploaded but when I click the Post New Topic link no photo appears. It's sporadic.

I'm going to wait a little while and attempt it again as the photos are worth seeing. I hope I don't get accused of spamming since that is not my intention.

As you can see the space below is blank. I just tried to add a photo in my reply to your reply and nothing appears. What the!

Perhaps just post the Imageshack URL as opposed to trying to directly post an image?

I solved the problem and if you look again at my OP you'll see the photo. It turned out to be my fault for not paying attention to the prompt as I attempted to upload the image. It seems that the size of my image of Crater Delisle, 1024X901, was too big for the system. Same thing with the hexagonal crater. Now, the reason why that limitation didn't hit me in the eye on my continued attempts to upload, is because I was being influenced by some of the extremely large photos that I see on some of the posts. Someone posted 2 photos of what the poster though contained ghosts and the photos were so large that you had to scroll sideway for twice my 17" computer screen! So, not knowing how the restriction of: Max. single upload size: 250K affected my photos resolution I was trying to upload them without realizing that they were too large. I still don't know how you do the math to equal photo resolution to 250K.

It was one heck of a learning experience!

Looks more like a shadow than a crater.
