As you know, tomorrow [depending when and where you are reading this] is 9/11. Thus bringing with it all the humors, facts, and some just plain non-sense.

I feel great emotion for those who died and lost love ones on 9/11 crying.gif . I believe it is an emotional day for all here in the great USA.
But one thing I can't stand about 9/11 is all the myths, humors, junk and so on that comes out. Mostly when people try to connect it to some paranormal. That might just be me here, LOL rofl.gif
But I wish to know what you think about 9/11, and interesting facts you might of heard. You may also post anything that you think is paranormal on here [even though that bugs me LOL!!!!] that you think has to do with 9/11. Like I said, this is an open topic about 9/11.

I wish you well being and a honorable day on 9/11...

I think it is an emotional day for people outside the USA as well.

I remember that day 9/11 2001....I was watching something very light-weight on the telly...
then came the news flash....when-ever there's a news flash you kind of get a sinking feeling..
like...'oh no what's happened?'......THEN it all started....the film of the first plane hitting the
WTC.....then the second one....that feeling that at some point they were going to colapse....then they
both did.

When it was the news of the pentagon strike. I phoned up a friend and said...'are you anywhere a TV?
America is under terrorist attack!!!'

It was like....what on earth is going to happen next? A scarey feeling....all the airports closing...no-one
knew what was going on or what was going to happen next.

Everyone who could, just watched the news reports for hours.......

Yes, i remember it all too clearly. Everyone in my city was told to go to their homes, and turn off the lights [don't know why]. But i just remember watching it, and i was pretty younger at that time. And i just felt, shocked. All those people who losted their lives, on the plane AND in the buildings. and those who losted their love ones. and all the stories we have heard about the people in the building. like those two teen boys who stopped to help an old lady in a wheelchair out of the building.

I will never forget that day! When i woke up my hubby told me to look at the news, i turned on the t.v. and the first plane had already hit and as i sat there crying for all those people i watched as the second plane hit! I knew at that momment that this wasn,t just an awfull accident, but planned! And i was in absolute shock and horrified that there were human beings out there who could to this to others! I believed along with everyone else that it was terrorists, and i still do believe that terrorists were apart of this, but i,ve since heard and read articals by people who think that there were those in the government and buisness communities that had known and allowed this to happen and might have even helped it to happen! And if thats true i feel they are worse than the terrorists we are trying to protect ourselves from! There are just too many things that don,t add up to it being just the Islamic extremists! It felt to me like i,d never stop crying and hurting for those people and those rescue personel, and their families! I remember knowing at that momment what wanting true vengence felt like! And that made me sick too! But i was really proud of my fellow Canadians who reached out to help all those people who had found themselves suddenly stranded due to all flights being grounded, these folks had no idea when they would be able to get home and many were frightened not knowing if their friends and loved ones were killed or ok! But so many of my fellow Canadians welcomed them into their homes, provided these people who were in a state of shock with the things they needed and tried to comfort them in any way they could! I don,t know how long or if we will ever really know who all was involved or all the reasons why! But i do know Many Americans are still suffering from that event and many are still getting sick and dying from the effects of the poisoness fallout! My heart is with you all on this day America!

Watching people jump from 70 stories up (some holding hands) because this was their best option was the saddest things I've ever seen. Ever since then it had struck me as the ultimate symbol of desperation.

-----------------

I live about 20 miles away from DC in Annapolis, Maryland which is the headquarters of the US Naval Academy.

My husband had had serious surgery a few days before and 9/10 was his first night home. As the morning of 9/11 progressed I saw... what we all saw. Soon F-16 bombers from the base began flying overhead, making sonic booms as they passed. Most headed to DC and a few circled defensively. I wanted to move my husband to the basement in case the naval base (which is 3 blocks away) got bombed, but I couldn't figure out how to move him and the equipment (iv drip) he was using at the same time. My husband was doped up and I didn't want to alarm him, so I tried to act calm. But there was one point were I went into the bathroom and crawled into a corner with my face against the wall. I considered calling a friend, but didn't want to put anyone in danger.

Now I can look at most of the coverage, but not the footage of the actual impacts.

God bless the families who lost a loved one. God bless the fire fighters that ran toward the danger to save as many as possible. God bless the law enforcement that tried to maintain order amongst the chaos. God bless the armed forces fighting for our freedom, liberty, and democracy. God bless America!

I was listening to a reporter ask students at San Diego State what year 911 happened. Girls giggled and he got answers anywhere from 1997 to 2005, not one of them (guys also) answered it correctly. He asked one of the girls if she had seen 'Loose Change' and she said something like 'not a lot, but I'm sure there's been some'.

My "Birthday is 9/11 .... sad.gif

Now I wake up to memorial tributes, it saddens me so much. I "WISH" it never happened...

My "LOVE" to all the families who "LOST ONES" ....

Let's hope we can be more prepared if the threat "EVER" happens again... yes.gif
