Watch the intro to this ....where they claim that the Flight to the Moon was physically impossible ....True or Not ?

It is most difficult to get through the intro with the cute chick that Bart Sibrel employed to recite absolute gibberish which she, and he, know absolutely nothing about. It does provide a huge laugh, however (she forgot to mention, in her dissertation on how rocket engine thrust is calculated, the exit prsssure and the area ratio from throat to exit of the engine bell, but that's excusable, since neither she nor Sibrel had any idea what they were actually talking about!).
No, it is not true. Further, it is said that the Saturn V
could not execute a direct flight to the Moon. That was a correct statement, given the mass of the Apollo spacecraft...although the cutie and Sibrel have no real idea why that would be the case (I trust he paid her well!).
Dr. Von Braun did in fact do many calculations regarding a direct flight to the Moon.
However, the Saturn V was not designed for, nor did it perform a direct flight to the Moon. And of course, Bart Sibrel has no idea about that either.
The Saturn V was an alternative to a direct flight to the Moon, designed specifically for economy and a completely new flight profile.
The Saturn V also never went to the Moon and back. It did propel the Apollo CSM on that journey, which it was designed to do.
Watching Sibrel's films can be dangerous to one's mental health...they are bogus mis-interpretations put together for a specific reason....($).
