It is unfortunate that they destroyed the creature. It would have been sluggish after such a meal, and not a danger. Prehaps it was destroyed out of some wapred concept of machismo.

did they actually kill it though? I thought he said "it bit off more than he could chew" I thought he meant that the anaconda died from trying to eat it?
