With ending it's ment that a new age will start, in this case the age of aquarius.
With this age will come many revilations and peace, or so it is said.
Nothing to do with God or the apocalypse, purely an astronomical occurance a shift of planets and energy.

All this talk of the world ending on a certain date...it is impossible because it is never the same date all over the world...If you are in the Pacific Ocean you can either be one of the first people in the world to eperience a new day or one of the last, depending on which side of the international date line you are. It's like every New Year's eve...we celebrate it here in Australia, party on into the new year, go to sleep, wake up and turn on the tv and it still isn't the new year in the US yet. So if it's December 25, 2012 here or whatever, does that mean the world ends here, but not in other parts of the world until it officially becomes that date? Of course not! The whole thing is ludicrous.

It's a whole bunch of complicated stuff that got misinterpreted by some people, and the rumor spread like wildfire. It happens all the time, all over the world, and we are all still alive. There is no way that the Earth's 'rays' will stop, or whatever it is that you were told, and 12/21/12 will come and go just like every other day in the earth's history.

Yes it does. That's a common misconception based on new age hooey. It's just the end of a long calendar cycle, an event that would have been a cause for celebration. It's kind of the ultimate New Years. The Mayans never connected the end of the world to these cycles and in fact, we have inscriptions of dates that extend thousands of years past 2012. So obviously they didn't think the world would end.

Not that it would matter if they did anyway.

The Mayan calender simply ends, and starts again from the beginning... just like ours does on the 1st of January.

The Mayans did base their calender on their astronomy calculations, December 21st 2012 is the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, and there are supposed to be some astronomical alignments on that day that may well be cool, and would be pretty if we could see it, but have no significance to the planet, such alignments have happened many times, and have never caused havoc on earth.

Each Year theres a new end of the world date, Same thing happended with Y2K nothing happened, I read somewhere that there are mathematical coincidences about 2012, So stop fretting. The world is currently spinning out of line. or true which I think is called precession(The precession of Earth's axis of rotation with respect to inertial space is also called the precession of the equinoxes. Like a wobbling top, the direction of the Earth's axis is changing; while today, the North Pole points roughly to Polaris, over time it will change. Because of this wobble, the position of the earth in its orbit around the sun at the moment of the equinoxes and solstices will also change.which incidently is causing earthquakes and other natural disasters(crustal displacement )kind of like when an ice skater spins on his own he remains relatively balanced ,but if other skaters were to join onto him forming a line ,the skater at the end of the line would struggle to keep up because of inertia. I believe that around dec 2012 the earth will regain its equilibrium through divine intervention the poles will realign , the result will be that a new vibration of a creative and pure nature (Aum or OM )which will manifest on earth as unconditional love.We are all basically living vibrations ,which can be altered by getting to truly know ourselves without our preconditioned ego or pride lying to us. The more a person dissolves his ego by truly looking inside of him or herself their vibration wile rise ; and the more the rise the more the AUM or GOD vibration or however u perceive or believe will be felt. Those who do feel it will also vibrate and manifest as a different dimension and will leave this earth dimension as we know it. The rest will remain here living and dying just like now (hell on earth) missing the chance to live in unconditional love like in the garden of eden or nirvana .Good luck LOL

My prediction for the 21st December 2012 is that on this day we will get our first solid, undeniable evidence of extra dimensions and how we ourselves interact with them.

The change in consciousness will come about when we suddenly realise things people disregard or overlook as being chemicals in the brain, delusions or wacko beliefs are in fact the interactions of the other dimensions. Basically a new way of looking at which we already know is there but choose to ignore or keep quite about.
