I'm not going to say real or not.
But I will say that my wife and I went to an Edwards show/concert here on LI a few years ago. If it's an act it's a very good one. I can't find any flaws. And believe me, I know people who claim to be sensetives and I can easily knock holes in their methods.

I actually believed this guy at one time--and I'm very skeptical. Of course, he was shown to be a fraud.

It's been well illustrated how 'mediums' do it, but people will still believe it.
Whenever I watch his show I think, the people trying to connect with their loved ones are doing 90% of the work, Edward is just throwing random words out there till they affect someone.
He's like all other mediums, profitting off of peoples loss and superstitions.

No. People can not communicate with or receive signals from the dead. they can, however, communicate with and receive signals from the living, which is what John Edwards does.
It's interesting that no matter how many times these guys are debunked, people just WANT to believe.
Any real debunks of John Edwards? I didn't see anything specific, just people "SAYING" he's fake. That holds as much weight as people just "SAYING" he's real.
i tell my husband that they could get anyone a show and do what he does. he is coming to indianapolis oct 11th and the show is sold out.
Ok I went and saw him in New York. I have to say I was NOT impressed. I like the guy and all and he's even cute and funny BUTTTTTTT it just wasn't there for me. I just don't get him. Something's off. Anyway just my opinion. Not like I'm an expert or anything....

He just throws out tons of information very rapidly and then feeds off the answers he gets from an individual or audience. Half the time people, when called upon, will say they have lost someone with that letter in their name so forth and so on. Questions are answered for him and he just goes on his usual verbal barrage. And his questions are so vague that they could apply to anyone.
If such a gift exists, why don't these people give specifics? Why not point to someone in the audience and say "You ... Your name is Sean Holderread and you were paralyzed in a car accident in 1985. Two years later, your dear friend Norma Dalton died in a tragic car accident involving a truck. She is slender and has brown hair and eyes--though she often changed her eye-color using contacts--and she would like to say she has heard your prayers a she knows how badly you miss her ... and her--she laughs--world famous snickerdoodles." Why not something that detailed?

Yes there are. See Here. As South Park so deliciously pointed out - Edwards is the worlds biggest douchebag. I abhor gypping money out of greiving people, and he's one of the worst. Look at what Houdini says about this dispicable trade.

Lets face it, if they're faking - they're low life con artists, who are well rewarded for it.

That's essentially it. The problem is, as pointed out so tactfully on South Park, that a lot of people simply don't want to believe that it's all trickery and deception. You could show a group of people exactly how you're conning the money out of them, and they'll still think you're genuine.
Some people just don't want to be told the truth I guess. We need James Randi to come and kick some psychic butt
