I am a big fan of the X-BOX game HALO! I cannot wait till april 1st of which is the release date of HALO 2! But anxiousness has nothing (or little) to do with this topic. I was wondering what other HALO gamers have to say about it... their thoughts and opinions. Or you could give us facts, maybe a question or two about it. For those fans that want to know more about it, you can ask me pretty much any question and can answer it. If i do not know the answer, I will say so.

I'm a big Halo fan, too. I can't wait till it comes out, when, next year? Anyway it seems like it's going to be awesome. You can check out the little movie thing on the XBox site. There's some stuff on there they didn't show though. What I can't wait for is that if you run out of ammo (or you just want to), you can pick up rocks and chuck them at the Covenant. God, that'll be fun...

Oh yes... that would be awesome if HALO 2 came out before April..... wait a second... since April first is April Fools Day... It might be a trick and be released EARLY

!... or a couple days later

OK this is what I know about HALO 2. This is only what I KNOW... I will not put "what ifs..." or "it would be cool if..." in this post. These are the facts (from what i hear). There is going to be a second ring... there are (wild/domestic) animals... ghosts are upgraded to shoot 2x faster than normal... there is a new covenant enemy called the brute... the covenant have a new dropship (the phantom)... there are new upgraded elites... vehicles can fall apart (ghosts literally shatter to pieces when they blow up!)... in multiplayer, you get to select your race (covy or human)... you get to controll a covenant super-weapon (such as the one displayed in the E3 in game demo)... jackals have different shields... masta chief can weild duel SMG's... there are stationary human turrets (sorta like the covenants "shade" gun)... There is a new burst/single shot Assault Rifle... there are cars that send out shockwaves when they blow up (for example one car blows up, then the one next to it will jump or flip over!)... you get to see covenant engineers (of which are harmless!)... there are seven different variations of the warthog... warthog can be comp. controlled or human controlled... you get to see the (psychic) leaders of the covenant... and the list goes endlessly on! Hope this post gets you HALO fans even more fired up about HALO 2!

I cant wait!! I heard that Halo 2 is said to come out first quarter of this year, and if I'm not mistaken, the second quarter starts in April, so maybe, just maybe it might come out a little early...

I don't quite remember where i heard it, but i heard that if HALO 2 makes enough sales as Microsoft expects, then they just might make a movie outta it! Hey, it could happen if you get to thinking how many movies they have been making that are based on video games! A HALO movie would be awesome... and i hope they can make it as scary as the later part of the origianal game!

That would be awesome if they made a movie out of it. Lets see, Master Chief would be... Uh... For laughs, Brad Pitt. That African-American marine... Samuel L. Jackson. (The black marine is cool).

Lol, I just got the first Halo like a month ago and hadn't played it in awhile because I was busy. So I just put it in and got to the level with the flood. That is one of the freakiest parts ever. I'm home alone and I had all the lights out and I ha forgotten what my friends told me about the big ones, so I turned around and I jumped, scared my cat.

The Flood is easily a favorite stage of mine and my younger brother, although it is one of the more crazy ones! There were so many of those stupid aliens and so many stupid ways to die in that stage... since my younger brother and I played with the co-op mode, we were always ragging on eachother for getting killed...more often we killed eachother with grenades than get killed by the aliens alone...that was fun!

Gah, got to the level after 323 Gulity Spark, forget what it's called. Anyway, that is really hard. God, you run after 323 then get shot in the back... And then they start getting grenades. Oh, you know those little bug things? I just found out you can step on them to kill them!

dont

over a game being delayed , it means they are taking extra time to polish it up and thus make it truly reighn supreme . Name one game that was delayed that fell short of at least a B grade .
OneEye
Jan 28 2004, 01:51 AM
True... Though I doubt they'd polish it up now, having it be four months from the release date. After all the sales on the first you'd think they would want to spend as much time as possible making them as to not run out of stock.

I can't wait untill the next Halo comes out. All my relatives have bought XboX just to play HALO and so did my brothers--that's already about 6 XboX systems sold just to my relatives. With games such as these for XboX, it puts other systems to shame. Haha!
Oh yea, i've also seen the trailer for the game where you can jump on a ghost even when an enemy covenant is on it.
I've seen on
Xplay, the Television show, that HALO 2 is set on earth (or either that part of it is set on earth

, forgot the what the show exactly said)
You can also play the single-player Campaign mode with other people on XboX live. (Which is what i've always wanted for the new halo 2). I hope you can also do multiplayer campaign mode, by linking 2 or more XboX's together (cords and a hub).
===========================
HALO TrickHere's a nice trick that goes well in the co-op mode, and it doesn't require any hacks what-so-ever.
Take advantage of the fact that once you partner dies, he/she can be "re-cloned".
When faced in the direction of heavy enemy fire, its best that you both don't pull "HERO" and get yourselves killed. Have either one of you be the hero and begin the assault, while the other person stays away from enemy fire. This enables the "hero" to be recloned and begin another assault.
Each guy you lose holds a new assault rifle thus increasing your ammo.

That last tricks what me and my friends always do. Sadly, I promised everyone that I wouldn't ask for any help to beat the game, and all of them had to use co-op to get past the library...

Me and my brothers and my cousins used to have a multiplayer halo tournement too. 2 xbox's--not enough cables.
Mostly in Hang 'em High, the "desert valley" stage, and the "snow valley" stage (forgot the names but i think you know which ones i'm talkin' about.

Although, I was still looking forward to playing the game earlier than later on in fall. Oh well, I'll be done high school then, won't need to worry about school. YES!, well except university. DAMNIT!

Yeah, its fun but it can get messy with cables and t.v.s thrown about the place. I know my mum would kill me if she walked in the house and saw a tv on her dining room table and wires running to the big screen in the living room!

Sidewinder=snow valley stage (one of my least faves...I hate trying to find everyone in this stage, and in the end everyone will just be caught up with the vehicles...since we always put vehicles in...There's usually a Scorpion face-off between two people, and this will eventually become a fight to the death over the Scorpions) I will admit though, people in Scorpions are easy sniper targets!

Yeah, that's it--Bloodgulch.

Too busy to check what the actual stage was called.
Anyways, these 2 big stages are the best for playing multiplayer in the mode "Capture the Flag".
Strategy, is pretty much everything to become a good team. Ever been in a team with great communication and strategic skills. Once you get used to the "game plans", your team will always end up winning.
One strategy, is where we always have a back-up for each person heading into enemy base. The best back-up is a sniper, or if you've got enough the rest of your team. Well that's if you know your enemies aren't sneaking past you for you flag.

It's funny how your enemies think they're sneaking in, but are actaully being seen by your back-up, your SNIPER!

It does suck when you run in for the flag, and your enemies takes your vehicle.

Especially when their's a face-off and you have the flag! But if you're an expert, its no sweat.
I also block teleporter beacons with a vehicle or, if i don't have a vehicle, I stand on one, so that they can't teleport.
Pious Augustus
Feb 26 2004, 12:59 AM
I will admit that sidewinder is the best stage for capture the flag because of its horse-shoe shape. I like to take up the role of sniper so that way I can guard the vehicles and watch my team (sometimes the opposing team) in action...Its fun when you have an enemies head in full sniper zoom, they never know what's coming

A lot of times hovwever, that comes to bite me in the ass because I am so intent on watching the action that I dont realize someone creeping up from behind and next thing, i'm conked in the noggin, and dead on the ground...

I need to have better camping skills!

I completely agree! its no good being with a team mate who basically does what he/she wants without telling the others whats going on. Since I usually play with my brothers and cousins, i have no problem with smacking someone up-side the head for going in the base alone and without any back-up

My favorite stage is Blood Gulch. I usually only play one-on-one, and my friends like to act as snipers. All the hills and such help quite a lot.
I also like Sidewinder. All the rooms and different weapons make it fun. I personnally like to hide up on the bridge behind the rock in the middle of the stage, where you can see almost everything.

Sometimes that happens, we're so intent on the game that we don't realize we have teammates.
I just send my cousin(s) on the other team if they like doing whatever they want.

But eh, maybe I could just clonk them on the head too!
Yea, I hate it when someone sneaks up on you...or when you're out of ammo and someone's right behind you.

Here's one strategy, I call it the "frontal line bombardment" (haha, i'm a nerd in this game)... where all members keep grouping and attacking at the same time, if they all die, then we do the whole process again.
