There is more and more talk within the gaming industry, much of it with hushed tones, of a PS2 title that looks set to have the same impact as MGS2 or GTAIII.

Due out at the end of 2004, Killzone is a first-person shooter, with online capabilities, set in a dystopian, near-future setting. It has already earned the nickname, Halo beater.

It is hard to be certain just how good the title turns out to be, but OPS2 (the most credible PS2 title) are foaming at the mouth after an exclusive playtest.

A link?

Until I actually try the game, no matter what anyone says... I am still rooting for HALO 2!

How about Half Life 2 for the PC ?

Still, it will take a phenomenal game on any system to beat the mighty Deus Ex.

Looks cool, do you know if it's only for PS2? I really wanna get it, but I only have an XBox and PC.

Hi OneEye.

I've looked for references to other consoles in the info that's out there, and it seems it's PS2 only, console-wise. I could be wrong, but I think Sony are the publishers, which means no go for their rivals.

However, I would reckon a PC release is on the cards, as most big PS2 titles get a PC release at some point.

Darn, I've looked it up, too. Doesn't seem like much hope, though it does look really neat.
