Ok, I want to get a laptop probably in few months... because I think it will be very handy for work, school and... some entertainment. (My current pc is athlon xp 2500+, 1 GB ram with ati 9550 video card... which is not that good for gaming anymore)

I am looking for a laptop... with 15'' screen is the biggest that I can get (smaller is better), since I am going to carry it anywhere and I want it to fit into my backpack (it has special space for laptop).

But I also want it has a good spec... dual core, 2 GB ram, etc. Hardisk size doesn't matter. I only look for good processor, good memory, good Video Card, and small screen...
The thing is most of of the laptops that is very good for gaming has at least 17'' screen, which I don't want.
Oh... and I am not a hardcore gamer anymore... running games with medium to low configuration wouldn't be a problem for me.

I understand the better the spec is, the more the heat it product so it need extra space and yada yada and so on.

So... what is the best laptop with 14 - 15 inches that I can get? (if there's smaller screen that would be awesome)

As long as you're not a hardcore gamer, you might want to try looking into a Winbook Laptop. They are cheap, effective, and most of their screens are on the small side. I'm typing this response on a Winbook right now!

Well here's my advice. Get a new backpack, not a laptop with a small screen to fit your backpack.

You'll regret not getting at least a 16-17" screen. If you're working on things for school, web browsing, doing email etc... you're going to want more screen real estate because it just makes all those things so much easier to do. A big screen does equal a larger footprint, but that doesn't alway mean huge or heavy. My IBM Think Pad T46 is quite light weight, it's dang near indestructable, and it has a decent display. It's basically 10x13" and weighs very little. It has a 16" display. My HP is about the same, it may even be a little lighter. It's the nc6120. I like it too. These laptops are just a hair bigger than notebook paper.

Dump the backpack in favor of the larger display... you really don't want anything smaller than 16"... you really don't. I have a Toshiba tablet with a 14" screen and I hate it, I never use it because the screen is so small.

Hmm, thanks guys

I guess I have to test first which one im comfortable with: 17 inch or smaller one.

I might getting this one:

The video card is better than the normal onboard cards, but not that "high".. you know what I meant..

and the screen size is 15", and slim

Just in case any of you want a nice small gaming laptop, I just found this

http://www.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=5&...amp;modelmenu=2

It's asus laptop, and it's pretty well known brand.
The taiwanese brand that I mentioned on previous post doesn't have enough tech support IMO (since they have such a small branch/market)
