My bedroom after a friend and I played with a ouiji board one night. It was scary during but afterwards there was an evil presence there, like in front of the door or the corner. It was very scary. And I had to sleep in there!

I think the scariest thing I have ever seen happens as follows.

A few years ago now, me and some friends were out drinking, have a good time. We were underage, possible about 15 at the time (I am only just turning 18 now). After spending some time down at the beach, here in Lake Country, B.C, we decided to make our way up to the quarry, which was only a 10 minute walk. Once we reached our destination, we lit up a fire, sat around, and commenced smoking a few joints. For reference, I was a well esablished weed connoissoer at this point, so to regard the following as some sort of trip, holds little to no validity.

After we had smoked some weed, one of my buddies was trying to trip me out, which happened to be a natural occurrence, with me in many cases being the antagonizer. I just laughed it off until....

My friend's (ben) eyes turned bright red, and the rest of his body was sheer black. All my other friends who were there with me fell silent, as if they were just scenery. This shadowy figure of my friend, lurched towards me, eyes ablaze. All I could hear was him whispering, not externally, but in my head, I heard him in my head. I couldnt make out what he was saying, it just sounded like 'hajjjaara shieeee ohmnnnnnn', well not exactly. The best I can translate it would be to call it functional whispering? :S

He kept moving towards me as I backed away, and he even moved, through the body of one of my other friends. At this point I nearly dirtied a sexy pair of underwear. I screamed out, and it ended as soon as it began. All of my friends said there was the most distinct feeling of evil around the place, and that they all just felt immediately drained.

I, an aethiest, prayed that night, surrounded by many of my good friends.

One of my friends brian, who could possibly be called an aspiring Cleric took me aside, and told me ben was speaking in tongues and quoting some bad ass mo f**king s**t.

That certainly sounds totally frightening. However I would never discredit or minimize your experience but young people, drugs and alcohol dont mix and anything can happen or appear to happen. Why would Brian use such language in the first place? Putting that aside, I hope you never smoked weed again, even though you thought you were quite the expert, as who knows what it was laced with? I appreciate how it could be put down to the marijuana, nevertheless, I know for a fact it wasn't laced whatsoever. I have (sort of) quit since, though only in the last year. It doesn't do anything for me anymore. The reality of this experience is heightened by the overall acknowledgement, by all of my friends, that they felt something too. Maybe it can indeed be put down to rationality, but I myself have never felt nor seen something so real.

It wasn't scary, but the most intriguing paranormal experience I have ever had was in the Suncoast theater in New Port Richie, Florida. I was doing a ghost investigation. At the time, only me and one other person was in the theater proper - everyone else was in the lobby packing up (We were just taking a couple last pictures). Suddenly, it sounded like 2 or 3 people in hard-soled shoes (Not sneakers) were walking across the stage. Nobody was there and I am certain nobody was behind the stage (We walked backstage and looked)...

Me and my best friend LOVE to go looking at cemetaries, so much so we went to the local council and asked for a print out of all the locations, we were driving around for a while looking at some pretty old cemetaries. There were a few left and we had to go to work so we decided to go have a look at the rest of them that night. Cemetary hopping at night was nothing new to us, we used to go at night all the time, we thought this time would be no different..... The cemetary in question was your classic spooky movie one lol it was on a hill and had the rusty gte that made an errie noise when you opened it.... we almost didn't go in because of the noise that gate made lol anyway... we went in and started looking around, saw some VERY old headstones, my friend had bought her dog with her and he didn't seem very impressed to be there lol we were there for about 20mins then toby (the dog) went mental, she broke the lead we had on her collar and started running around like she was being chased by the devil himself, well we finally caught her and decided to put her in the car, we were a bit rattled but we had travelled almost an hour to see this place so we weren't leaving until we did. Then about 15mins later my friend saw some "glowing" eyes... i looked to where she pointed but didn't see anything, i thought she was just trying to spook me out like she usually does. We kept walking around looking at headstones then...... I SAW GLOWING EYES!!!!!! I froze to the spot.... I couldn't move.... then i saw another pair..... followed by another.... and another..... my friend screamed and bolted towards the car... (she just left me standing there..... some friend) so somehow i found my legs and legged it with all i had back to the car, on my way i heard what sounded like huge feet running in the dark..... i screamed as i thought they were after me..... i made it back to the car and by then my friend had started it and was screaming for me to get in... i got in and slammed the door and shouted "GO GO GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" well.......... she flipped the headlights on and we saw.......

a paddock full of cows..... BLOODY COWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The light from our torches must have reflected in their eyes.... and the huge feet i heard running? Well.... we scared the crap out of them when we screamed... so THEY bolted

But that would have to be the most scariest place ive been too hahahahaha but.... we still have no idea what made toby (the dog) go mental..... we haven't been back there since......

well... someone (not mentioning any names, looks at darrk) has a very bad habit of scaring me....
well.... i had had enough of this so i came up with a cunning plan......

one night after he had his mates over for a few drinks i decided to put my plan into action. They were all sleping in the living room after playing xbox for hours, earlier they had all been joking about darrk scaring me senseless.... so i decided to teach them ALL a lesson now keep in mind that he did some pretty bad things to me.... so what i did to them is not as evil as it sounds.... i went to my linen closet and pulled out 5 pillow cases.... i also got a few lenghts of string.......

i had quite a few masks and things from halloween parties and such so i put them all around the room as well.... i selected a were wolf mask for my self and put it on, i put the pillow cases very gently over their heads and tied the string around their ankles..... i have a very large collection of display knives, none of which are sharp and i got myself the replica od jasons butcher knife, i stood in the middle of them all and screamed my lungs out.... the following events were HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they all jumped awake and couldnt see anything for the pillow cases and heard a lot of "WTF IS GOING ON??? OMG!!!!!!!! WHATS HAPPENING?????" they got the cases off their heads and saw "were wolf" me in the middle of the room, i made snarling animal noises as best i could and made out i was going to cut them with the knife..... they tried to get up and run but their feet were tied hahahahahahahahahaha they were screaming and hollering and one of them started crying i terrified them for a few more seconds then could not contain my laughter any longer... i pulled off my mask and started laughing my head off, needless to say i got called all kinds of profanity lmao but it was the funniest thing i have ever seen...... grown men cowering and screaming like babies hahaha they have never scared/payed me out again.

When I get back home today I'll write you guys another story of my first paranormal experiences when I was like 4 or 5. They really changed who I was back then and you will see that on a 5 year old it's alot to be happening. It's going to be a bit lengthy as I wrote it for a draft for a book, so it's descriptive.

There is a basement in an annex building that is situated across from the now closed Joliet Correctional Center (Jail Break, Blues Brothers )that served as a housing facility for sex offenders in the prisons final few years but was originally built during the turn of the century as a womens prison....there are little tiny cells in the basement that were "seg" or punishment cells of the day...and radiated the most vile, raw bad energy I have felt to date when working on some network upgrades in the late 90s....I posted the story here early in January if I can find it I will re-post....b

This is one in a few that scared that crap out of me.

I don't know where we were at the time because I was a kid and my father was driving. My sister was in the passenger seat and I was behind her in the backseat, and looking out the window was a rolling pasture and a flat area that the highway drove through.
There were no animals around that I can remember and when I looked out my window agian, there were these horses in full gallop with the old wooden wagon attached coming up along-side our car. Men with guns were on it and other men on horses were in pursuit and they had an eerie gray look to them and their hosres too.
The sound of the horses and the wooden wagon had scared me so I unbuckled and hid down on the floor-board. I was so scared I couldn't scream to my dad or sister. I had to look up again and I seen a man that was ready to jump from the the back of the wagon onto our car. I finally had the courage to scream out to my dad, "Dad! They're coming to get us! Go! faster -FASTER!
My dad looked at me with, "What in the hell is wrong with you!" look. He looked, and saw nothing. "There's nothing there son!" I looked agian and it was gone! I said, "where did it go, dad!" My sister had her faced glued to the window, WHERE! WHERE! My father yelled "get back up in your seat and buckle up!" He looked at me and he knew I saw something that scared me. I finally did get up and now it was all a memory.

Funny, but also highly disturbing..

This was the one that got me more than anything else

So it was a road trip for me and some friends. We wanted to hit up a haunted abandoned place, so we decided on the TB hospital in Lima. There were five of us, one girl and four guys. So we had a two hour drive to get there, which was fun as all hell. once we got within a mile though, nerves kicked in and we were feelin really excited. We parked a ways away on some side street to avoid suspicion. We walked there (keep in mind that this is about 3 am) and found the drive. It was very secluded at night and you'll miss it if you don't know its there. We went past the gate and walked along and there it was. It was so....menacing. I felt a strong drop in my emotions as i approached it. Once we walked around back to find an entrance, we dropped down into the basement via a lage, what looked like a broken out window. Once inside my nerves were on end and im sure that was accountable for some of the feelings in there, but there we somethings that really messed with us. We were walking along and my friend angelo (this is AFTER we left) told me that he heard bangs at the end of the halls. We went up to the first floor/second depending on how you look at it, and my friend Krissy started to cough. That wasn't odd, there was a TON of dust and dirt in there, and it can all mess with your throat. We explored deeper into the building and found the patients rooms. Lots of lame graffiti but the presence of depression and death was very strong here. It made my emotions turn from excitement to depression they were that bad. We continued on, determined to get up to the roof. we made it to the third floor and Krissy stopped. I looked back and she was physically shaking, and could barely stand. Apparently the higher we went the more it felt as though she couldn't walk or even stand by the time we hit the middle of the 3rd floor stairs. We decided it wasn't worth her passing out, so we rushed her outside, and the moment she passed through teh door out to the steps her physical well being returned, like nothing was wrong. We left shortly after that because it was 4 am and we were dead tired. Though, interesting story, on the car ride home, she had strong visions and emotions that wern't hers. The vision was of a small young girl dressed in white, with shoulder length dark hair, and she was very sad, because she was supposed to be going somewhere else. We then drove home, and proceeded to slep like logs. I personally had no visions, but the death and depression was so strong it overtook your emotions in that place. It was very powerful.

Oh wow. I've been living in NC for a year now but don't know of any good haunts in the area. a mod on my forum is from King, NC and knows of a few. please let me know some good areas

The scariest place I have ever been was the first house me and my husband ever lived in. We bought it from his mom and dad
and my sister-in-laws told me it was haunted, that they had seen things over the years.
When we moved in my little daughter was 3. She would always come out and say "Mommy the nice man is in my room." I would
always go look and noone would never be there.
The upstairs was empty and you would hear people walking around. You would always here someone walking up and down the
steps and the door knob would turn but noone would never come out. You would also hear a ball bouncing down the stairs.
I would sit in the living room and I would know by the way I felt that they were around. Whoever was there knew my name.
I would always be in bed ready to go to sleep and someone would come up and whisper my name in my ear. Once they yelled
it. Or they would whisper something I couldnt understand. The whole time I was there I never saw, just always heard.
The second year we were there my mom and dad relocated so both of my brothers moved upstairs. Everyday they
had a story. My one brother got to the point where he hated it up there. Said stuff was always moving around. My other
brother actually saw a ghost up there and I came home from the store one day, he and his girlfriend were sitting out on the front
porch. I asked what was wrong and he said people going up and down the stairs again. He finally got his own apartment.
We moved the same year. Thank God!

After watching The Changelling, that would scare the living crap out of me!! I'd be out of there so fast!

Yeah, only people who have truly experienced ghosts should tell stories, others should only hear them, and hopefully beleive.

I thought of another thing that was scary, involved another ouiji board, that got burned later. I was at a runaway house that was really old and suppossed to be haunted, I don't know, but you were supposed to smell a certain flower perfume in the upper rooms that were our bedrooms. That was supposedly the ghost. I don't know about that, but there was a pantry that was in the kitchen that led up to the attic. There I sensed that slaves or servents used to be kept up there. We played with a ouiji board there that was partically fond of me and another girl there, it moved quite a bit for us. It told us a lot about what was going to happen to us and said that I would have a child that was a monster or some crap like that. But what really scared us was when it paused in the middle of talking about something else to tell us another girl in the room was having a fire at her house at that moment. We got a call like a half a minute after that indead there was a fire at her house. We did not sleep that whole night. The next day we , the girl and I who were using the board the most, went to church. Later that day the councelor helped us to burn the board. She said she saw a face in the smoke that frightened her. I guess they supposedly would never let a ouiji board again in there and they eventually moved out of the house. It is a bed and breakfast now.

Here I was like 10 or so when I watched it, freaked me out! Supposedly it was based on a true haunting.

The Changeling was supposed to be based on a true story? I never heard that, though I'd easily recommend it as one of the scariest ghost movies ever. Got any information on the haunting it's supposed to be based on?

It was mentioned by a friend, but I can't find anything on that. Of course, with any movie of this genre, and stories or rumors about the movie will give it even more mystique.

I've never Amityville. And since I lvoe The Changeling so much, most other haunted house stories fall short. Of course, living in a couple of places where weird things happened, increased my appreciation for a great story that seemed a little more realistic than the norm.

Well maybe Amityville will be the show that doesn't fall short!

Well, I haven't been to any scary place in my boring life...I just have to be contented in reading the stories in my complete series of True Philippine Ghost Stories. My mom once told me when she was still about 7 to 10 years old, she had to do an errand for her mother and that time, they live on the mountains of Camarines Sur. She had to go to her uncle and go back...and thye time is 7:oo PM! She told me about an abandoned house she passed by and she felt someone is following her that's it. I even hope I will my own experience soon....

Yup. It is more of a eerie movie than a gory one. I guess it is more psychological in how it gets to you, which personally prefer and find more fascinating.

OMG A Haunting in CT scares the chit out of me. Just the thought of those things in that basement gives me the creeps. It is said that they are not Demonic, but evil people who died "Gross and horrid" things to dead bodies. So with that said, they were afraid to go to "Hell" and were not wanted in "Heaven" so they remain on Earth to torture and torment as they did in life..Amity is one of my favorites too..We are sick puppies LOL..Go to YouTube and check out "The Diabolical" and "The Presence."
