Its got to be Guns N Roses for me. I might be stuck in some kind of timewarp but I still listen to Appetite probably on a daily basis.
I have seen them live (both old and new GNR) and they just give me the chills. They just introduced me to a genre of music that really hit my heart. They played a massive part of my teenage life.
I am also into Velvet Revolver...no big shock being a massive Slash Fan but I genuinely like them for what they're doing at the moment. Seen them live I think its 6 times now.
I love Iron Maiden, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Led Zep', Stone Temple Pilots...all sorts, too many to mention.
I am really into Stone Sour right now. Corey Taylor is an amazing vocalist/lyricist.

GnR sucks w/o Slash and Axl is a big *****...
That being said if the band would have stuck together they would have easily been the next Rolling Stones and would probably be as popular today as they were back in the day....
One band I like and where I think it's at right now though is Velvet Revolver this band is definately the bombdigity. I've seen them live a few times now always a good show.

Alice Cooper.
Old stuff, new stuff or both?
Personally, I think that after the "Poison" and "Trash" era, his stuff got a little weak. I preferred it when he stayed out of Industrial-themed music.
He still kicks ass though

All of it. Every single bit of it. He's gone back to guitar music with
The Eyes of Alice Cooper and
Dirty Diamonds.
His next album is supposed to be more like old school themed Alice. We shall see.

That'd be cool!
I grew up on a steady diet of Alice, cos my dad's got all of his stuff on Vinyl. He's even got the original paper underwear from the Schools Out Vinyl ^^

My favourite band is the Finnish metal band Sentenced, and Frozen is my favourite album by them. The thing I like about them is that they have this black humour in their songs, but still there are so many emotions in them too. Too bad they quit in 2005, but the vocalist has formed a new band called poisonblack =)

Hello Fellow VR fan
A few years ago I would have agreed with you about Axl. I was lucky enough to see Guns N' Roses in the 90's- OK, not the original Izzy and Steve line up but near enough. When I found out they were playing Download 06 and I already had tickets I didn't know what to think. I went thinking I would hate the show. But as soon as the teasing opening riffs of WTTJ started and we heard the old screech of ''You know where the **** you are?'' I got goosebumps. And although it will never be the same it was still Guns N' Roses- or the songs I grew up with being played. I saw them after that a few more times and was impressed.
Velvet Revolver really do do it for me. I have yet to go to see them and not feel like they have given 100%. Dave Kushner is mental to watch.
I didn't take notice of where you are, but they're back in the UK in 08.

The Sisters of Mercy.
I love Andrew Eldritch' s deep, barytone vocals, his cryptic lyrics and their music (they only released three "proper" albums, and all of them had a different sound). I'm also fond of Bella Morte, The Misfits (both the Danzig and the Graves incarnations), old :Wumpscut:, Suicide Commando, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, Apoptygma Berzerk and Fields of The Nephilim.

My love for TOOL (although still an awesome band) was replaced by the Fantomas. I think Mike Patton is cool enough already, but when he collaborates with the almighty King Buzzo, you know that you're going to have an awesome band!

My Chemical Romance. They seem to be a huge inspiration to a lot of teenagers, and I'm no different. They helped me find myself. They make me so happy, before I found this band I didn't have a personality, I was just a sheep. Now they've made me realize I can be who I want to be, no matter what other people think.
Since I got into them I've had a lot of nasty comments like "Emo" and "Dirty Goth" and other abuse thrown at me, but what I love about My Chem is that they always tell their fans not to worry, just to ignore them and be who you are.
I couldn't love them more.

Yep, I've definitely still go it as I have all the Alice stuff that was released on vinyl as original pressings. Right from Pretties for you onwards. The Billion Dollar Babies album is great with all the push out cards and the dollar bill. Even have Killer with the original 1972 calendar. Took a long time to collect it all though. Obviously I'm glad that Rhyknow took some of my musical taste on board although not all.
Apart from Alice, I suppose my favourite bands are the Dogs Damour and the New York Dolls although Rhyknow certainly doesn't agree on those!!
