Sorry if this has been posted before. A few days ago I heard of an urban legend in my area. Goat Man Bridge. The story is that there used to be an old farm boy. Being on the farm he worked with goats, all the kids at school would make fun of him because he smelled like a goat, calling him goat man. Well, one day he went crazy and murdered all the people who made fun of him, he would cut off their hands and feet and replace them with goat hooves, then hang them from the bridge. They say if you go on the bridge in the dead of night, you will hear the sound of goat hooves walking on it. I'll have to check it out sometime.

You know, we actually had a guy we called the goat man. He would tie his goats on top of his car and take them for rides. He ended up with a huge herd and they would roam all over the place. One day a guy from school made a comment of shooting some of the goats. The Goat Man over heard and said if that ever happened, he would come to the school and shoot the kids. He ended up committing suicide, and we all breathed a sigh of releif. But, from happenings like this, legends are made.

Ew. Gross. Poor kids. ^^;;

There is two stories of the Baltimore Goatman. I'll type them down next week. But half of them are freaky!

One story is that he's contacted to Glen Dale Hospital in PG County. He hangs around in PG County. That's what they say though. And he hangs around Governer's Bridge Road.

One of my friends told a different tale of the local goatman, and it was highly unbelievable. I told him this one, but he kept insisting that his was the best.

His story said that a farmer was walking on the bridge and a person ran him over, and his legs were cut off. He some how managed to get back to his farm, kill a goat, and tie half of its body on his own.....

do goat go BAAAAA? lol

It seems to me that this legend may have sprung forth from the Bunny Man Bridge legend? Or maybe not.

They are pretty similar but that's probably just because its a common type of urban legend (crazy guy, something to do with animals, kills a a whole lot of people, hangs them on a bridge, weird stuff happens there at night)

From what I know, the town the goatman was from had to be re-located because of a flood or something. One farmer tried to save his goat herd but died trying. Now he walks the woods at night killing family pets and sometimes people. There are cases of missing people in Maryland that have never been solved. In one case, two kids went missing but their car was left in the woods. Police suggested that they ran away from home but it doesn't explain the empty car...

Apparently the goatman carries a big axe and chops off the heads of people and animals
