I am no photographer, but it seems there was an issue with the camera, hence the color, the white line, and also it is out of focus. I enhanced it as best I could but just see a reflection of some kind. JN

It looks like the "anomoly" is the same shape as the girl's head.
Watchful
Actually, at first, I thought it was the shape of a dolls head, with a hediously formed mouth. Then I saved the picture, experimented with various programs on office and paint, to darken it a bit. It definately is another female figure. And it seems to be the backwards shape of the sister, but I see many differences. The hair is different. I think the face is shaped differently too. The blouse is different from the sister. The sister is wearing a black t-shirt, where the anomaly is wearing a multi-colored sweater top. The anomaly's eyes look like they are being covered up by the hair. I thought the mouth was way wrong, but then examaning the picture more, I can see where it is actually a switchplate in the back of the room. What disturbes me, is the I do not see faded outlines of a mouth over the switchplate. This picture gives me the chills guys, no matter how it could be written off as a double exposer. I sense something way too creepy with this picture. unsure.gif

It can't be a double exposure because the figure is mirroring the girl, facing her. But I see a reflection of her - including her hair which makes me think it is some kind of reflection.

Well, it's not so scary with the colors fixed. It's looking like the movement caused the effect, but it's an odd one. The exposure time was close to a second long, which is too long for such a bright room especially if it was hand held. The streaks to the left of the pillow are a pretty obvious indication of movement, as well as the yellow (as others have already noted). I'm thinking the "teeth" might be just another one of those black rectangles on the wall, just elongated from movement. Hard to say without looking at the wall. Parts of the face might be from hers or even from that spooky shirt she's wearing. The chin looks to be shaped like hers if she was to face forward a bit more. Pretty girl. yes.gif Maybe looking at the surroundings might tell you more since we can't see much in the pic.

Here is a color corrected version, I won't bother you with the details on how I did it but if you want to know just ask:

A little more for the believers, not exactly "legitimate" enhancements, but fun to look at:

It does look like it. See those those tall little rectangles scattered all over that back wall? A couple of those lower ones have streaks veering off to the left. Maybe those "lips" are just another rectangle, no? Could be a blurred light switch even.

What are those rectangles all over that wall, anyway? Not the three racks that look like some sort of collection, but the ones scattered all over the wall to the right of the door. huh.gif

There is a great deal of movement happening in the OP's photo. The figure on the left is more than likely a real person who tried to jump into the shot too quickly. Couple that with movement on the part of the photographer and you get the result you see here. Many of today's compact digital cameras can't handle a lot of movement, so when movement occurs strange-looking things can happen to the photo.

As a case in point I'm attaching a badly taken photo that my daughter took during a school trip to Europe. In her photo you will see on the right that my daughter's friend appears to be semi-transparent, and the girl on the left looks like her spirit is leaving her body. LOL. All this is due to both movement on the part of the girls in the photo, plus movement from my daughter when she attempted to snap the pic too quickly.

Yea Epi I see what your saying here but Amy's pic is bothering me some.

Has anyone noticed the white line? I believe that is a door (either to a hallway or off to a bathroom or something) opened somewhat from what I can see. I also can explain the wavy, watery-type, rippely looking stuff in the bottom left corner of the picture. Hmmm.

Of course through all of the modified pic's; I do see a face. I just wonder how those other things figure into this shot. Hmmm.

AMY -- CARE TO INCLUDE ANY INFORMATION PLEASE???

Thanks, Jody original.gif

i see 2 faces in this pic

I can vaguely see the face in the pic, the nose, shape of face, chin and fringe. I think the streak of light is just that, light shining through the hinged side of the door. You can see what appears to be the hinges on the door blocking out the light.

I think it's just a heap of things wrong with the camera - Unfocused, shades etc ..

By the way, You have a beautiful sister tongue.gif
rudie
Honestly, upon closer inspection it just looks like a friend of hers in the background. It looks like a young girl wearing those big trendy sunglasses and a low cut sweat shirt. It looks like someone can use the transparency function in photoshop tongue.gif
Goatness
Why would your sister take a photo of herself on one edge of the frame, then a gap on the other? I think It was originally a photo of her and a friend, something either - got mixed p in development, or it was 'shopped.

Very creepy figure tho.

It could be that she tweaked it with photo shop or something like you say, But now in days people take pics like that because they look kewl on Myspace. The "corner" look is the new "trend" lately.

The white line is obviously just a door with light shining through it - you can even see the hinges.

She was taking a photo of herself and a friend and the friend moved.

Digital cameras in low level light are notoriously difficult to manage.

(You can even see the friend's glittery silver top that she's wearing.)

I looked at this pic a few times and at first, I could kinda see a girl in the background. Then I just stared at the picture for 2 mins without blinking, and IT looked like a big baby's head then slowly started looking like a very sinister guy grinning.
IT gave me the heeby geebies.

Where is the hole in her face? The thing in the background is a light switch I believe.

Hmmm... well i don't know much about photography, but it's either a double exposure or a long exposure with more than 1 person... it's quite obvious..

It's funny how many people jump to supernatural conclusions...

lol, So we deem this picture a double exposure or photoshopped? In other words, non-paranormal sad.gif

I have seen something similar before where a completely diffrent image bleeds into a photo dureing the processing?
NoahJaymes
I too have a similar image. I was at a friends house shooting pool, this girl was behind me messing with the cd player, she got up and started walking away and my friend took the picture. A few days later she shows me the picture and the girl was transparent and like a double..."two of her", couldnt see her face. If i wasnt hitting on that girl the entire night, i wouldnt have known what she was wearing and that would appeared different to me, but i knew it was her.

I think it deals with shutter speed, the way lights are involved, the whole 52 yds. Im not an expert, but i did stay at a holiday inn. tongue.gif
