Waves lap gently against the shore
I sit patiently and wait for you
Don't avoid me & don't ignore
I wait as the sky changes hue
All alone in my special place
I feel the breeze caress my hair
I look and see an empty space
Longing for you to be there
Twin moons illuminate the sky
Cutting through the darkness
Pupils adjusting, I cast a sigh
You'll be along eventually I guess
Lungs filled deep wih ocean scent
Only my heartbeat for company
Didn't understand what you meant
When you said you were one of many
You've not been around for quite a while
Was you ever really there
Uncertainty creates a smile
The fabric of reality can so easily tear
I need your help & guidance
Since we met I've not been the same
Is that someone approaching in the distance
I never did catch your name.....
