From darkest pitch of night, through to day's azure blue
From sunset to daybreak, there's so much beauty to view
Candy floss clouds drift by, framing a golden glow
Angels smile down from above, on those who dwell below
If there be magik in colours, we're truly bathed in wonder
The power of a rainbow, viewed through distant thunder
All these wondrous things, we often take for granted
Pause to gaze up above & find yourself enchanted
Northern lights & eclipses, maintain the sky's mystique
From the beauty of summer, to when it is most bleak
Rain & snow sent to replenish, their intent not to assail
We blindly search beneath, for the elusive Holy Grail
Wearing an invisible cloak, shielding harmful rays
Faithfully looking after us, it never ever strays
Endless patterns drift overhead, in a tranquil silence
It can both whisper gently, or roar aloud in defiance
Providing stimulii to the senses, on our separate journeys
So many gifts surround us, from the heavens to the seas
We each play our parts, in this precious tapestry
For what good is beauty, if there's no-one there to see?
