This is very interesting. God magically made everyone forget how to talk to each other and gave each person a new and different language so they could no longer converse because when all of mankind spoke one language and began building a tall tower He felt threatened. This is the story of the Tower of Babel.

What will god do this time? What will happen when mankind again can speak the same language?

Surely this is being feverishly discussed by any christian that actually believes scripture.

I would think that the church would be expending a lot of resources trying to make sure that humanity never speaks a common language.

Otherwise......

christianity has already proven its ability to evolve and adapt as a spiritual belief system

And that is exactly what amazes me - if your very religion were written by god thousands of years ago, why would you need to evolve or adapt?

Christianity wasn't written by God. However, Judaism was established by God, and it (Orthodox Judaism) has not changed since over 4000 years ago when Moses gave the Torah.

EDIT:
No no, that's not completely right. It is made to evolve and adapt, but what is required of Jews and Non-Jews has not changed. I would say that Jewish Philosophical thought has changed, but the morality hasn't. God isn't foolish, and he knew that Jewish thought 4000 years ago wouldn't mean anything today. Thus, he created the philosophical principles of the Torah to evolve and adapt to changing times.
