my view on the bible is sort of middle ground.. i DO believe there is a GOD. a purpose. a reason ..and it wants the best for us..

but.. i have seen how the bible has changed over time (i do some study)

i know there is that passage waaaaay back in genesis that refers to the coming messiah "you will bruise his heel and he will crush your head" but other than that it is quite vauge from what i saw.. my query is -- how can you be sure these 'earlier' references to the coming messiah were not placed there much later (council of nicea for example) ..do you follow me?

from what i have encountered, even the oldest jewish texts on which bible is based, have differing account [etc]
any help?

to cut a long story short, i would love the bible message to be true - face it! there is no other [way] for man to be saved! but all this stuff about how satan did this and satan did that (people who use that as a reason why the bible has been altered) does not square with me.. i could be stealing clothes from your backyard every night and blaming it on satan if you believed in that stuff, do you get me? thanks for listening..

It could be we evolve our thought and review our translation and then articulate the information for more clarity. It is a process of discernment based on someone's motivation.



I would say pratice your own discernment. If God is truly interested in what is best for you, then you will receive insights through reflection and prayer. Clarity of thought on subjects of interest will come through the heart. Listen to your feelings.

I saw him on TV a while back. He ran his car into the fence at the airport while being chased by the cops. As they took him out of the car the news men said he thought his was the messiah. I thought he kind of looked like the guy in Jesus Christ Super Star, so I guess he was the messiah. They took him to the local mental hospital I guess that is where he is if you want to find him.

No I do not think It is crucial to Know, Who the messiah is, but I do think the message of Love is crucial, all are brothers , so knowing who he is is not important, loving your brother is.
