Dear Friends,
While doing some internet research, I happened across this technique that I see some have used called "Mirror Writing". From what I can gather it is where you place a candle in front of a Mirror, sit it front of it with pen and paper in hand and concentrate intensely on the mirrored image and allow whatever energy there is to flow through you.
Is this a valid means of communication or is it just folklore? Your input would be greatly appreciated. I have never heard of this technique before.

Hi Trubeliver, I've never heard of this before. It sounds like a form of scrying, basically scrying is where you look into the mirror and concentrate hard, sometimes people say that their faces change into someone else or that they see images that might help them to tell the future (like looking into a crystal ball).
There is also automatic handwriting which is thought to be a way of chaneling information from a spirit.
This sounds like a combination of the two.

Yes I have heard about all sorts of scrying. Scrying is a method of consentration. Which I can not do very well...lol.It consists of gazing into a crystal, a mirror or some water. There are different scrying tools, like crystal, water, ink, oil, even fire. Scrying is using the Ganzfeld effect (which you probably learned in Psychology) which you stare at a blank wall or a blank canvas until you began to feel dizzy, to hallucinate and see patterns. This type of consentration is like how you feel when you meditate to channel your energy, but you are putting all your focus on whatever you are using for Scrying. Honestly TruBeleiver I have never heard of Mirror Writing before, Are you supposed to use a writing utensil? Are you allowing energy to help you draw imagines from the mirror? There is on thing that I am not sure with scrying though. I think it helps when the person has pshycic abilities, because I never heard of anyone not being pshycic Scrying. AAcckkkk, those darn fortune tellers has got me confused!! Them with their mirrors and crystal balls.

That actually sounds kind of scary to me. The only way I would try that is if I was concentrating on a certain person. To just let things flow could invite something you don't want in. But, that's just me, I could be a scaredy cat.

I am sorry TruBeleiver I misunderstood your post. Nope...sorry I never heard of Mirror writing before. Are you planning on doing that? Or are you just wanting to know about it?

Hello Everyone,
Pardon the group reply, but I am under somewhat of a time restraint here. As far as what this topic, as far as I am able to gather and what has been posted here, I believe you are all correct that it IS a form of scrying, and that it can be used in a 2 ways. 1 being an attempt to establish a Psychic link with an individual Spirit and/or Ghost, OR as a means to contact someone, living, by means of Remote Viewing.
As with anything misused, there is always a potential for danger. That is why I want to educate myself. I am constantly working to develop my gift to help others, and any avenue that can be used to be of help someone else, I want to study and potentially develop. I just wanted to know if any of you have heard of this, and what sources I may consult in order to, perhaps at some point in time, incorporate it into my skills.

I wonder if that is because of the intensity in which you are fixing your gaze into the mirror OR the intensity of what you are thinking about while reflecting on yourself. If it is the second option, it may be something you could work on developing. Not to the point of headaches, I believe I would stop short of doing that. But it would be interesting to take notes and see if it is just the proximity of yourself in relationship to the mirror, or if it stems from the intensity of some form of meditation.
Thanks for your response,

Sounds interesting Truebeliever...
Has anyone ever tried leaving a blank piece of paper on a table with a crayon in a haunted place? I always wanted to try some kind of writing experiment, got any suggestions? Its not conjuring, or provoking, so I think it sounds pretty safe?

Pluto,
I have tried the crayon and blank paper with varying degrees of success. I always have a white candle lit to help draw them near " the light" Several friends of mine has used this technique when they have encountered those in need of help crossing over. There is another one where you draw the sign of a Cross in a layer of salt and use an upside-down glass. I have not used this method before, but I have heard that it is equally as successful, when conditions are right, in establishing communication.

I agree. You don't want to let just anything in.

Agreed!!! I believe in using this method, you should research and limit your contact and not give a blanket invitation to whomever wants to RSVP
