After shopping yesterday I decided to drive somewhere to find a great place to take photography. It just so happened I came upon a family of horses on a farm by sheer accident. I had made a wrong turn, with nowhere to turn my vehicle around, I had to drive at least 2 miles of a private driveway , where I ended up at a farm. I noticed the horses, and decided to get out and take pictures. It had been the first time since I was upclose to these majestic animals, so I couldn't pass this up.

I walked up to the fencing and said "Hello Beautiful!" and one of the horses looked at me for a second, then trotted proudly over. He posed for me to catch at least 5 shots and then walked away. I had a feeling that he wanted me to pet him but I decided not to, considering I was on private property, not to mention the chance of losing a finger .







Doesn't he look so sad in the last one! I wanted to take him home with me lol.

They really are gorgeous! And what a bright sunny day you had, we,ve been getting lots of rain! Next time bring some carrots and apples and ask the owner if you can get some more pics, horses are always great photo subjects! And isn,t it the best when your not really looking for anything special and then bang your confronted with something wonderfull and surprising like that? Thanks for sharing them!

What beautiful pictures! I love horses. At my college they actually breed horses, so there are a ton of them around. I love seeing the little babies playing in the fields. I just wish I could get as close to them as you did. They look like very well-kept horses.
