FOR HALO 3, ont he world map before u log into multiplayer, u can see the world map lit up... does that ever change? do they really keep track of people around the world..

i didnt thnk they did, but then i changed my mind.. because sometimes there are dots in africa and australlia, then sometimes they either move around or are not there.

do they just randomize it to make u thnk different.. or is it really like a bungie sattelite..

also, lookin for people to put together a clan.. hit me up on my gamertag.."Msucat06"

I have noticed the shifting lights as well. When I play late in the evening, I notice there are less dots in Europe than there would be in the morning. Of course, it could be all pre-rendered and could shift at different times of the day.

They are based on which are online atm, if some1 in africa plays, then there's a light on the map somewhere in africa.

A very nice and cool thing tongue.gif

so im guessin BUNGIE has a satallite?? up there then orbiting this world?? also, there is a DOT lol below hawaii, left of south america, and its crazy one little DOT.. its like a guy who is playing halo 3 in a raft out at sea hahah. have u seen that?
Raptor
A satellite? Haha no, how would that even work? They just keep track of everyone who connects to their server.

I haven't seen the dot out at sea, but I did see one in Greenland. Probably a guy sitting alone in an igloo looking for some friends. tongue.gif

Well, they clearly use your internet-connection and IP to find your location. Not a sattelite.
