Ive said before that I think most orbs are dust or something similar, but heres a couple of pics my son took while on a school visit to a mine nearby

I am a bit unsure that the orbs in either of the pics are caused by dust, surely down a mine there would be lots of dust and therefore lots of orbs

These pics havent been altered in any way just downloaded from my lads camera to his pc then sent to me on msn messenger.





What do you think? dust or something else? (these are the only pics out of dozens that he took that had orbs on them)

Was there any water or water vapour down there?

Mines/caves are well known for being moisturous.

hi complex and si***, yeah there was moisture in the mine, I just thought that if it were moisture or dust then there would have been more orbs than there was. Thanks for replying

Look behind the guy in the second pic on the light part of the mound and there is the image of a mans head and shoulders. I think it is just moisture. Great pics though!

From major insomniac here. They mostly look like dust or moisture. When they are clear, and totally transparent they are "Normall" moisture. Dust is kinda fully looking at times. The blue one however, appears to be an orb to me..JN

Does this mine have any history of deaths or any other reason for a haunting?

hi JN, thanks for explaining the difference between the orbs I did notice the blue one appears to be different, the big one I could see straight through and the other smaller one near the blue on seems to just fade away into the background when I zoom in on it.

hi buddharat, I just googled the mine and theres lots of links but Im in the middle of something so dont have time to scan the links for any deaths/hauntings etc. Funny enough the mine is called the Blue John mine and it wasnt til I clicked on the first link that it said the mine is rich in lead and something called blue john that is made into ornaments and jewellery. Maybe thats why the blue orb is so blue looking, it could maybe be an ordinary orb (by this i mean a non dust/moisture orb that is reflecting off something in the walls maybe?) I already knew the mine was called blue john mine but thought that was just a name for it, I didnt realise there was actually something called blue john ....doh
