Hi everyone,
I am also one of those souls who spent a few years languishing in a hotbed of paranormal activity. Like all of you, I struggled with the activity around me which may have overwhelmed me but for the support of my brothers and sisters.
It was here that i first saw balls of light. As the years passed, I did hear them described as orbs, but much of the evidence is from cameras and often these encounters were unseen by the naked eye.
In my case these orbs would be about honeydew melon sized, and would appear only after midnight. They would arrive singularly and move slowly across the window wall about halfway up. They would emit a light I would describe as like 'moonlight', but did not create any problems for electrical equipment or burn or singe anything, or make any sound.
My older brother (I shared a room) started opening the curtains at bedtime in an attempt to stop the activity. Sometimes it worked but on others, they moved to the fireplace, then moved in precisely the same way their.
Are these orbs or something else. Your thoughts people.

"Orbs" are definately real - and very natural.

While it is possible to have paranormal orbs, the majority are natural phenomena.

In the example you give I can't be absolutely sure (without having been there to see and examine for myself) but it sounds like a natural non-paranormal orb.

It's hard to tell from your description: Were these inside or out side the house? You mention opening the curtains to stop them - why?

Was your house near any bodies of water or a marsh/wet land?
Any significant power lines near by?

I agree with you MP. I've seen many many accounts of Orbs, and only a few of those did I consider to be of a paranormal nature. There is no missing the real ones, as they follow no pattern and move about as if conciously driven. Far from the specks of dust and moths caught by digital imagery. What I find really fascinating are the "Darts" that seem to fly in straight lines at very high speed (even fast enough to pace a commercial jetliner). ~Jackal

Hi MasterPodefinitely, These 'orbs' were inside my bedroom. They were quite mechanical in there movements, not suddenly changing course or accelerating. They traced the drawn curtains in a slow deliberate manner. That's why my brother open the curtains hoping to stop the nightly disruption in some way. They gave off a curious light in the pitch blackness of our house deep in the country. (No street lights) As you say, definitely not specs of dust but I'm puzzled, what in your experience is a natural orb?

real as in they can be studied by scientists or real as in you "believe" them to be real? and i think "natural-paranormal" is a very big oxymoron seeing as how things that are natural tend to be analyzed, examined and are considered to be normal occurrences in this reality. whereas paranormal things are not normal, cannot be analyzed, examined or proven. do we "believe" trees grow leaves or do we knowand understand that leaves grow on trees?
