saker
Not sure if this would be of any interest and perhaps i'm posting in wrong section, but now being mere student i get to watch alotta day time tv (sad i know - so smack me). However during the wonderous rendition of Richard and Judy lol i was intrigued to learn that according to law it is now ok for information on UFO sightings during the wars etc.... to be released (so called X Files) as they are now passed the 50 yr period

As such, it may mean that lots of hidden and unreported sightings from the 50's will now come to the forefront - so keep yer eyes peeled i hear there are some corkers out there!

Just thought you might wanna know - but you probably do already - lol typical me to be late as usual! Time keeping was never my strong point!

NOw how the heck is stuff from WWi still important to national security or have any reason to be classified... do they really think people are that stupid to freak out over information from 50 or 60 yrs ago... did they have some ulterior motives or assassinations or something we don't know bout during world war 1, i dunno... just seems a bit over-classified if i may say so myself disgust.gif
<bleeding_heart>
Very little if any of this stuff will be computerised and will be mixed up in that public vault place in london it's take another fifty years to find it.

Well you see, in war sometimes not everybody plays fair...I know, i know its hard to believe..but a few years later, country Y doesn't want country X to find out the naughty things it was doing when they were being mean to each other, so its in country Y's best interest not to release the information.

..did that help?

Because even the good guys are guilty of horrific and horrendous acts/atrocities/war crimes, half the stuff would be a PC nightmare, yeah even from 70 yrs ago. Theres a village in Kent (cant remember name) that during WWII became a 'Mary Celeste' type village overnight. Everyone disappeared. None of these people has ever come forward to tell that they had been relocated and none have ever been heard of since. Where did they go. All I can say is new weapons have to be tested on live Guinea Pigs (I believe Hiroshima and Nagasaki were prime examples as the Japanese were already virtually on their knees) Lots of other countries have been proved guilty of this stuff including the US with Clandestine testing of Aggression enhancing drugs etc on whole units of their own Infantry, so why not Britain. To get to the point, apparently there is an MOD file on this place but i doubt anyone will ever get to read it. Britain has this unfortunate ability of 'Losing' certain stuff, just as it's about to be de-classisfied.

p.s. If anyone else has heard of this story or knows the name of the village please let us know.
