Oslo, Norway - Norwegian rescuers frantically searching for the missing driver of a smashed boat outside Oslo finally found him relaxing on his mother's sofa.

While emergency workers were desperately looking for the unidentified boater this week, the man had made his way to his mother's home.

While the man eventually was found to have relocated to the comfortable couch following Thursday's crash, local police official Tore Haugen said he wasn't free and clear for related charges.

"It has been established that the man was alone on the boat. We have a suspicion of intoxication and a blood sample has been taken. He can at least expect repercussions for not reporting the accident," Haugen said.

The man was traced to his mother's couch thanks to an address tag found at the scene of the boat crash.
