SCRANTON, Pa

A Scranton woman who allegedly shouted profanities at her overflowing toilet within earshot of a neighbor was cited for disorderly conduct, authorities said.

Dawn Herb could face up to 90 days in jail and a fine of up to $300.

"It doesn't make any sense. I was in my house. It's not like I was outside or drunk," Herb told The Times-Tribune of Scranton. "The toilet was overflowing and leaking down into the kitchen and I was yelling (for my daughter) to get the mop."

Herb doesn't recall exactly what she said, but she admitted letting more than a few choice words fly near an open bathroom window Thursday night.

"I'd be slinging **** to If my loo was doing that. "Could you wanna clean that up" The toilet over flowing would most def make anyone swear and curse.
If your in your own home, you should be able to say and do exactly what you want when you want.

"I'd be like shut ya window, and stop ear wiging".

What a nice guy! (Heavy sarcasm) You know if he would have maybe offered to help instead of 'asking' her to keep it down it might have calmed her down instead of adding to an already tense situation.
Cursing a blue streak at your toilet in your home and getting arrested?
Since he was an off duty police officer, I hope a judge throws this out and reprimands the officers involved for waisting the courts time.

WEll, I would be in jail for a long time if anyone heard me when I get mad. Talk about ridiculous! I hope it gets thrown out of court and she sues her neighbour for undue stress and anything else the lawyer can think up. I don't usually agree with suing over stupid things, but, I think this woman needs to teach her silly neighbour a lesson.

I keep saying it, there should be counter laws to punish people who waste the time and money of the courts.

Yes, that would make most people think twice about being so silly.

Did you notice in the article it was an off duty officer who called the incident in??? WTF?
Now if she was smacking her daughter around for not getting the mop quickly enough to clean up the mess or shooting the toilet for leaking (dumb but people have done sillier things) then I can understand it but for cursing in her own home??
Too silly for words.
