Sedona, Arizona - Authorities have arrested a woman who told people at gas stations and hotels in Sedona that they needed to evacuate because a cloud of cyanide gas was approaching from Phoenix.
The County Sheriff's Office said the woman began at a Giant gas station at about 4 a.m. Wednesday, telling the night clerk to evacuate because of a cyanide cloud.
She then went to a Chevron station and told a similar story before going to the Wildflower Inn where she began banging loudly on the hotel's doors and windows and telling the guests to evacuate because of the cloud.
Sheriff's deputies found the woman at 4:45 a.m. at the Radisson Hotel in Sedona. There, she had gone into the lobby and attempted to have all the guests evacuated.
