I remember reading a short story by Lovecraft, speaking of a man who lived in a strange house. It was located on a street which was truly hard to find, as it seemed to be only accessible if you came from the right way, as if only perceptible from the right angle. From the house, the man could clearly see the city's landmarks, such as an old church. However, even when climbing on the nearby church, it was impossible to see this house.
Eventually, the character had to flee, but when he tried to return to the house, he found that he could not.
I was reminded of this as I remember going to such places. Following a tortuous road to reach a place, then finding that said road is impossible to find later, and that things such as Google map show nothing where there should be something.
Ever seen such a place?

I don't know about Google Earth or any famous stories of these types of places, but I have experienced something similar.
My grandmother owned (before she died - now my Mom owns it) about half of a mountain in the Catskills. In my youth, my 2 older sisters and I would ramble all over it. One time, we found a really neat place we had never been to before. A spring bubbled up out of the ground, there was something like a rock wall (natural formation, not man made). It was in a clearing between the trees and the sun shone down. We played there for hours, ate wild blackberries, and then headed back to Grandma's house.
Well, we tried to find it the next day, and every day of our visit (2 weeks), but could never find it again. It seems strange to me even now that we could never find it again, because we walked all over the place up there.
In the intervening years, we would go up there to camp every once in a while. We all have looked for the place again, but never found it.

I think in both cases we are talking about another dimensional reality.

in this area i hear of a road similar to that, its called berry road, it is said that the people who live their if they leave they cannot ever move back, but that someone would need to take their place, but hey it is just a myth... right?
i tmay sound strange but space can overlap... in theory... you need some strange gravitational things to happens to cause another dimension to expand, lets find one and build a house their
