It's The History Channel's new show. That's going to be airring at 10 on Wednesday night. Which is Halloween. Personally, I can't wait for it. It does look interesting.

I think the purpose of the show to find these "monsters." And prove that their fake or not.

I saw a long commercial on it last night. Yes, it does look pretty cool. My husband even look interested. Too bad I probably won't get to watch it because of trick or treaters. My neighborhood is a madhouse on halloween.

The History channel is going to air the same episode of Monster Quest at least 6 times (twice on Wednesday, twice on Friday and twice on Sunday) so if you miss the premiere you'll have 5 more chances to watch it. The first episode is titled "America's Loch Ness Monster" and looks interesting.
Check your local listings for air times.
Also, you might find this link interesting.

Unfortunately, there gonna find what the other shows concerning "mysteries" and mysterious monsters of legend shows have found....a whole lotta nuthin, oh I'm sure there gonna "acquire" some interesting yet inconclusive footage, but nothing more. If there on longer than a few months, I'll be very impressed.
What ever happened to that show on SciFi that had various personalities on it? A scientist, a paranormalist, a skeptic(who I think was on another t.v. show previously...from Jersey, I think), wasn't THAT show supposed to be looking for the same things? The Jersey Devil, Mothman, Bigfoot, and various other "legends"? Oh yeah, it was SciFi Investigates....still on the air?

I saw part of the Thunderbirds show last night (although it was late and I was only semi-conscious). I checked the site's episodes guide and some episodes seem like they'll be legit entertainment. Others... well, no wonder this one's among the later:
"Creatures from the 4th Dimension - For decades cameras have been capturing images of a flying, torpedo-like creature. So fast it cannot be seen with the naked eye. Some think it is a military weapon, others believe it may be a creature from another dimension. But just what is it? This MonsterQuest scientific journey will use super high speed photography, physics and even a wind tunnel experiment to shed light on a creature simply referred to as Rods."Aren't rods just elongated bugs due to their high speed on cameras/video?

They are a bunch of weird nuts-- theyre making a federal case out of a large black cat. Screw that. Ive seen those here in NC-- not a big deal at all. it's just something that escaped captivity and crossbred. Why is that a mystery? And why is this man holding a light in his face looking all scared?

Because those cats aren't supposed to be in those area's anymore they were wiped out. I really never thought much about big cats But Id say there out there.
I don't see why not they could have came back.

The Eastern Cougar is making a comeback, IMO it was never completely wiped out to begin with. As far as black cougars go they have been sighted for years here in Missouri, they were my schools mascot. They even have a beautiful painting of one in the Junior High gym. I really don't understand the big deal about them, but we just consider them part of the wildlife here. I do wonder why the Jaguarundi was never mentioned because it could account for the Oklahoma sightings, as it is well known even in northern Texas, Oklahoma isnt such a stretch
GypsyWolf
Dec 13 2007, 07:11 PM
My point exactly, they were never wiped out or their making a comeback. That's great for them but really--- an hour long show to discuss it? Please... I think at the end they discovered it may be a black Jaguar. That'd be great if their making a comeback but their not monsters nor was that a mystery..
