I am open to the possibility of something in the way of 'exotic' occuring ufos. However, it's like anything else where opinions and rumor have to be dealt with.
In this instance, I would just say that I'm very uncertain about the images from "T. Ms."
For example, space telescopes have some sort of cover, which can be closed and re-opened. Perhaps, if a solar telescope performs that task, there might be some re-adjustment to the instruments upon re-opening the cover. That may lead to glitches in the first images.
X-rays or cosmic particles might bounce around inside, giving a host of anomalous pixel data.
Anyway, from what I can tell, without having time to go through a lot of checking, access to older data is done by e-mailing the science team at SOHO. I did see some summary data for certain dates and certain times. But, only a very little.
So, here are two GIFs from 1999, September 22 ( re:"T.Ms."). What they show is an example of a normal LASCO-C3 image with the occulter. And, another which is missing data. The occulter's dimensions and appearance can be compared with the one provided by "T Ms." It would seem to me that apparently-
1. The "T. Ms." image for 1999, September 22 shows something going on inside the telescope, affecting the appearance from the near side surface-view of the occulter arm- i.e. a cosmic ray, possibly. The occulter region seems filled with hot pixels.
2. Same as above, except a possible software glitch after re-opening a closed telescope cover, leading to a false image.
3. A photoshop altered image.
Lastly, what are the odds of a ufo, of unexplainable origin, getting between a satellite and the Sun? I just have to ask that question, just like anyone trying to rule out various possibilities. And, this is all just speculation on my part, since I'm not e-mailing their science team.
